New domain question: .com and .net

It's not very disputed that a 2 yr+ registration can help you out in the SE's. As most spammers just curn 'n burn with 1 yr $.50 .info domains.
 


I honestly don't think it matters whether you buy a .com or .net. I had a site once that was a .net and I got it up to 10,000 visitors a day. I don't think it being a .com would have made any difference. Just go with the domain that you want.
 
Cool. Thanks for all the feedback. I am all about the .com, but for this project it's going to be a very small site, highly targeted for a few keywords. I'm doing this project following Jon's KISS technique. I will be sending traffic to it, but not through anything that would be dependent on real world advertising or someone typing in the address. So I think it will be alright.
