NEW Facebook Ads

I'm probably going to wait a few days before submitting anything as I assume facebook's reviewers will be extra gung ho in the recent aftermath of the policy change... also keeping a few things paused for a little while before restarting since it said they're going to go through retro disapproving a bunch and I'm sure they're going to be extra strict (illogically strict) in the next few days as well. Other than that, this is probably going to be a case of evolve or die. It obviously sucks, but the upside is that there may be less competition and saturation and new things will need to be made to work. People will certainly need to shift up their game plan some and make the new one work or else switch traffic sources, pretty much as simple as that.

Anybody else got *all* running gaming ads disapproved?

Why is all in *quotes*? Does that mean literally all your campaigns? No this hasn't happened to me, but I did notice after the new guidline announcement my links to some of my gaming campaigns which were on pause got visited by intern.facebook.com IPs

Also yesterday I submitted 9 ads got notice 18 were diasspproved so I Check my email the 9 ads were dissaproved at 3:03 then the same 9 dissaproved again at 3:04 (that makes 18) then when I check the campaign its approved and running...turns out to be one of my most profitbale campaigns haha

Yeah man all gaming ads got fucked - even the ones that were paused.

If you had some toolbar games maybe they thought all them were toolbars so they took it all down.

Try submitting without the toolbar games. Because they're basically adware...

I just had my first completely harmless gaming ads (ie no adware games) disapproved for "Offers requiring the submission of Personally Identifiable Information must disclose on the landing page how such information will be used and distributed.".

I hope that was just a fluke. Because if they strictly enforce this, then every lead gen offer on the planet is fucked. Awesome.

What exactly ? Like first name/last name and e-mail needed ? I don't think it's fucked if so, it's not CC# or SSN so people will be not so reluctant to fill it, why not ? Just say that in ad.

Unacceptable business models include, but are not limited
to:
1 Lead generation offers which sell or distribute a user’s
information to larger extent than indicated by the landing page

3 Offers that require the input of user information for complete
access to offer or product details

Who knows, but with their new terms there's not much you can advertise. Just keep resubmitting.

I know someone who emailed facebook about the new downloads rule, and they replied back that they were not allowing downloads of ANY kind including downloadable games (not toolbars). Is anyone getting the same thing too? So, basically we can only promote browser games from now on? That's shitty. Anyone hear the same/anything different?

  • FUCK U FACEBOOK

Any statement made within an ad must be accurate and relevant to all users.
Additionally, ads must disclose what action or set of actions is required to qualify or receive the product/service. Per sections 4, 7 and 13 of Facebook's Advertising Guidelines, ad text must relate directly to the content of the landing page. Hi guys, a weird thing is happening to my ads. I run an AD and there's an huge spike in traffic... like 1.000 clicks in 10 minutes; CPM ad, 0,5% CTR... and then all the traffic suddendly STOPS... so I must pause the AD.. wait 2-3 hours or so, and then re-activate it again.. then another spike... and it stops again.. why is this?! Maybe the user are clicking 'dislike' on the ad? thanks guys!

Low budget is causing that. If you can afford it, increase your budget to the spending limit. Also, send in a request to get an unlimited spend account.

hi mGrunin, i don't think it's a low budget problem... today I've a 200$ budget, only spent 30$... any other advice?

You should still try increasing the budget to $400+ and keep increasing it if things are working out. I'm pretty sure Facebook spends your funds evenly over the day sometimes. So if it is early morning and it sees that it has already spent 15% of your limit then it might stop. uhh I'm not completely sure if it does this with individual campaigns, but it did it with the account daily spending limit the last time I had a lower limit. I remember it would spend a bunch of money and then stop and then it would hit the daily spend limit perfectly at midnight pst.
