NEW Facebook Ads

Had the same problems. Just email them at affiliates@facebook.com
Within 24 hours, I would always get a response, and it would either go:

1) Admit they're retards and retro-approve the ads.
2) Tell you exactly what they didn't like about the ad.

Has never failed me.

Yea thanks for the tip dude, just shot them an email an hour ago, it's definitely time to take a different approach after submitting this campaign probably about 10 times and upwards of 50-70+ ad text variations..

How many approved you ask? Well, Zero of course :thefinger:

Looks like FB rolled out another genius update today. They implemented icons for ad status (i.e. Running, Paused, Campaign Paused etc) instead of text statuses. This is a fail as you can't see which ads you've individually paused when your campaign is paused, because there's no Campaign Paused icon.

You got a wonder who the fuck thinks of this stupid shit, and even more baffling is who approves these changes? Fucking unreal...

Judging by their equally high scores on the idiot-meter, probably the same guys that approve ads..

By the way how it effects when spending budget of your account let's say $250/day and you set so for each campaign. Does it slow impressions ?

Point number 2, I know that bad ads (bad CTR) damage whole campaign, but ... if you have multiple campaigns runnings and some becoming bad, or at least stop getting impressions at all, does it damage others ? Cause I see overall performance below list of all campaigns and it's becoming bad. So ?

Does anyone else have a problem with running multiple ads targeting the same demo? For instance i got 2 ads with same bids, 2 camps, 2 diff offers, both targeting 21-25 females. But only 1 ad will get imps while the other gets zero or vice versa..

I had an ad with 0.24% CTR paying like $0.07 CPC then I decided to duplicate the exact same ad to CPM but then surprisingly my CTR was only 0.05% CTR...wtf...

What is a good to CTR for you to duplicate a campaign from CPC to CPM?

Yea, no shit. You're suppose to take your top preforming ads on CPM and switch them to CPC, not the other way around.

Facebook sent an email last month. When you run CPM you will receive lower quality impressions from apps/btf/etc.

sounds like fun :D Is there a reason you're not using FBAM?

I'm new to facebook and PPC as a whole. I want to get my first campaign off the ground manually before investing in any automating software; that and I kind of don't have $200 bucks to spend :xmas-smiley-016: But its definately going to be one of my purchases soon.

In other news, just got 38 of my ads pertaining to one offer disapproved. I didn't think survey type offers pertained to "get rich quick" but I guess they do. Sucks cause the offer showed promise with earlier conversions. And I understand how dependent on the reviewer you are. My earlier ad copy from like 3 weeks ago was approved, I changed the landing page, but nothing major (actually had 3 different LPs and 3 different angles I was approaching the offer at). But everything disapproved. Guess thats why you don't really see survey offers ;) I think I'm just going to scrap it and do what alot of people recommend to newbies; stick to something that everyone knows works on facebook. EDU leads, gaming, dating. So far what I've garnered:

EDU - Longer form obviously, would generally require more investment for research.

Gaming - Often low margins, high CTR is a must for success

Dating - Very competitive

I'm rambling now lol, but overall its been a good waste of 20+ hours of work making LP and preparing the campaign. Oh well, you learn.

Nice seeing people from close to where I live, I'm on the Island (Nanaimo)
