NEW Facebook Ads

motherfuckers dissapproving copies of a running ad, but let the original run. I bet some of the reviewers don't even look at the ads. It's so frustrating knowing your ad is solid, but then comes a new reviewer who stamps dissapproved to everything you submit without even looking at the content.

I had the problem with the outstanding balance a couple of days ago.

They've changed that page and now it adds the card but doesn't charge it after verification. Just takes you back to the Make Payment page. Tried diff browser.

I did put in a support request. But a few hours later, maybe 6-8, i got an email saying my card has been charged.

Not sure if just hit the next daily payment cycle (and if thats a new 'feature' or just a bug) or whether they acted upon my support request. No reply from support.

I love how once I get a profitable ad, it gets killed by a reviewer and yet the rest of them with basically the same ad copy and images are left alone.

I'm guessing these reviewers are just disapproving the winners and taking the ad and running it themselves. What other logical explanation can there be...

Because they are winners they get much more imps and therefore get X'd out much quicker.

Raargh, I've just got the same thing. Facebook finally took their money. anyway, I think this might be related. Existing ad running for over a week. I want to widen the demographic, so I copy the ad. I change nothing except I remove the hobbies, and tighten the location. Now, whatever I do to it, it gets disapproved. It mentions rules 2 and 4 in the notice, is that actually it, or is that just a generic thing?..

Until yesterday, my ads were on autoapprove after 5 mins. Now, they seem to have changed to auto disapprove after 5 mins... :@

I never copy an existing good ad, since if the coped one gets the axe by a new intern reviewer then the old one will be axed too. But yeah i was on the same autoapprove bandwagon, now autodis.

mmm, that's a point, but I was probably gonna pause/delete the older one once I got this approved, just needed to target users based more where they were clicking from, to get a higher CTR and therefore cheaper clicks.

Good to know I'm not the only one getting autodis, has anyone managed to get any ads approved today? Maybe this is a temporary glitch.

Well i made progress, kept sending in the same ads which i know are within toss and now they reduced complaining to the picture only (before it was basically every fucking point in the guidelines). I changed the picture(fuck i know it was within tos, but the retards have issues today) and submitted to the same group where the ones with dissaproved pictures are, so when the idiots are about to get all confused what the last reason for dissaprove was again, they can see it there.

Goddamnit... I'm having the same fucking problem with getting my card to charge. I got a new card so it fucked up when it tried to charge the old one, I changed it, and now it's not charging and my campaigns are locked.

So frustrating because I am running a time sensitive campaign.

Just got an ad disapproved for the following reason (I'm assuming it's the bold part):

This ad does not meet the requirements for dating ads or services set forth by section 7 of Facebook's Advertising Guidelines. The product ordating service being advertised must be targeted to the appropriate, relevant audience: 1. Users aged 18 or older; 2. Users with a Relationship Status of "Single"; 3. The ad must also be targeted to users of exactly one gender ("Sex"); 4. Users of one sexual preference ("Interested In"); 5. The ad text must also be a fair representation of the dating service. To that end, we do not allow ad text that is misleading to users (e.g., "Come chat with me" or "Meet me tonight")

I like to leave this option at "all" because selecting "Men" or "Women" tend to shrink my already small demo to 1/3. Apparently for some reason FB doesn't like this. Should I just keep resubmitting?

lololololol are you serious? its b/c you are not following the guidelines for dating... that have been guidelines for what 2 years now?

read the guidelines

Or just make 2 ad groups and target each one differently.

Doesn't solve anything.

Select "All" unless your ad should target users with a specific sexual orientation. Note that some users do not specify this information, so you can only reach such users by selecting "All".

A majority of people don't apparently specify this information (from my data on this demo). It would be a shame if you couldn't advertise to them.

I've had dating ads with "all" selected approved. lolololol

damn... was going to ask you for tips

but thanks for that banter back and forth and letting me see that you didnt follow guidelines but didnt understand why you would get a disapproval

Read again, dumbass. I did understand why my ad got disapproved. But since FB aren't that consistent it's hard for me to know what's really the deal.
