NEW Facebook Ads

I had the same thing happen on one campaign, but not another, which was running completely different demos.

I can't be 100% sure though, since this other campaign only spends like $40 a day so doesn't have enough traffic for me to guarantee quality was worse than normal, it could be chalked up to not enough data.

Has the recent price floor increase caused a decrease in spend for you? At first it didn't really do anything but now it seems it is starting to.

Killing me as well. I've been getting more traffic at the same CPC, which should naturally lead to a higher ROI... but my ROI's gone to shit on most verticals/demos I'm running.

Damn all my campaigns are getting traffic but ROI is shit here as well. Something is shady - all offers suddenly cannot stop converting.

Things have been doing downhill since mid this week. Suggestion bids first went up, then my click volume has been affected, and yesterday a 300% ROI campaign shat down to 10%.

I've even seeing $2.00+ suggestion bids on 0.15%+ CTR Ads.

Something is definitely up over at FB HQ.

Yesterday ended in a NEGATIVE 61% ROI for me. On solid performers that always run at 90%+. My campaigns have been unchanged but Facebook's traffic quality is now beyond horrible.

Looking at referers, I noticed a 5% increase in FB apps traffic yesterday as well. We all know apps traffic blows but here's a snapshot of a typical friday's run for some campaigns;

51% FB apps traffic (converting at 4.42%)
49% FB regular traffic (converting at 10.75%)

Here's the same stats for the same timeframe yesterday;
56% FB apps traffic (converting at 1.34%)
44% FB regular traffic (converting at 5.65%)

My campaigns and bids have remained unchanged, but the traffic quality has gone to hell. Here's a merged conversion graph I grabbed from T202. The red line is yesterday's run vs. the average normal in black.

Likewise here, except my app traffic was a much higher percentage. How did you get your regular traffic such a high percentage in the first place?

was already changing the link after approval expecting a US reviewer.. like the one that approved the same ads 10 mins previously. and again 10 minutes after. just one batch got jacked by the ze damn Irish.

there was an hour period (round 9-10pm Pacific?) when ads were all going through in under 15mins. Then anything that didn't make it into magic hour is still pending 8 hours later, waiting for US morning obviously. As ads are for Australia they wont show til tomorrow here - hate losing a whole day of *ching* like this!

Really? They are reviewing from Ireland now?

^ Interesting.

So when you say Ireland, are we talking republic of Ireland which is shown as 'Ireland' for Geo purposes or it comes in as 'UK' which means they are located in Northern Ireland?

Confirmed: Thurs and Friday FB had a glitch in their suggested bids per FB. I went to hit teh golf balls early Friday so not sure if it got fixed prior to them leavning.

They have been in Ireland since first quarter of this year. They take over the "night shift" for the left coast approval team.

That's a good question Spliff - if you pm me Monday to remind me I will ask them for you. I don't run CPM myself.

wow ok

looks are bids a bit closer to normal today for most of my campaigns

fucken, I am so sick of FB retards in Ireland dissaproving ads for landing pages geo-targetted to the US.

Save yourself the grief with a geo targeting script of your own.

Set any clicks that come outside the US to go straight to the advertiser page without an affiliate link in the chain.

what is your normal weekend conversion rate?
Around 5.75%. I originally thought it was the weekend traffic, however with everybody else also posting huge drops in conversion rates I wasn't 100% sure.

I will certainly find out whether it is just shitty weekend traffic based on what the numbers are like tomorrow, and during the week next week.

Haven't noticed any conversion rate issues but these bids are still fucking insane. Are there people out there actually paying $1/click on shitty facebook traffic?
