So I read this somewhere and wanted to make sure it's correct: Keyword targeting = cheaper clicks?
I ask because the bid suggestion always stays the same regardless of whether you enter KWs or not (only the # of users goes down), so I haven't been targeting keywords at all and figured that, if anything, it just increases your CTR.
But the bid suggestion and actual CPC you pay are always different. With keyword targeting, does the actual CPC decrease even if the bid suggestion doesn't? If so, is this how everyone is getting dirt-cheap (< 0.20) domestic clicks?
Pardon the newb question, but I feel like I've missed the boat somewhere.
