Ah man WTF is this shit
Upcoming system change:
As you know, we continuously work to make our ads system more accurate in order to further improve the effectiveness of your advertising campaigns. Among other ongoing improvements, we are refining our ads delivery system to better reflect the goals of our advertisers. This change will take place over the next few weeks and, assuming current bids remain unchanged, will mean that:
CPC advertisers (advertisers who have chosen to bid “cost-per-click”) may receive more clicks.
CPM advertisers (advertisers who have chosen to bid “cost per thousand impressions”) will continue to receive impressions but may receive less clicks.
Do I need to do anything?
As a CPM advertiser, you are indicating to our system that it's more important that your ad is seen by your audience rather than clicked i.e. you have chosen to pay for impressions, not clicks. If your main objective is to increase awareness of your business with an ad impression, there is no need for action. However, if your most important objective is to drive clicks on your ads, you should change your bids from CPM to CPC.

uh ohssss.. FB fucks affiliates even harder officially today....

This is what I have been suspecting and have switched back to all CPC ads since last january as I CANNOT get a good CTR on any CPM ads recently unless its foreign obscure country traffic.

Since I never bid CPC, the question is, if I port over my CPM ads with decent CTR, will the CTR stay the same and I'll essentially be paying the same, or does this mean I'm gonna have to pay the 'suggested bid' price which is about 3x what I pay now. Anyone?

and how the fuck are they going to artificially decrease the ctr on cpm ads?

are they just going to put "HEY GUYS DON'T CLICK THIS! the fucker bid cpm" under it?

i'm not understanding here

from what i've done before ... a cpc ad w/ the same ctr as a cpm ad will cost more per click

I am guessing they have impression caps and placement quality settings on each campaign.

I ran identical campaigns/ads/demographic and the CPC campaign got good clicks and CTR, the CPM campaign got fucked all over. This was 2 weeks ago. Not scientific but they have been shitting on high CTR CPM ads.

fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

So from now on, all the sections of specific demos that are more probably to click on ads will be shown only CPC ads first and sections of demos that are less probably to click on ads will be only shown CPM ads first.

Also LOL @
"8. Even though your new ad is essentially a duplication of your old one, it will need to be reviewed again."

Essentially, even if we know its the same fucking ad copy, we will still fucking review it - because an ad that was fucking approved the first time MIGHT be disapproved the second time.

Putting CPM ads on shittier inventory, and CPC ads on more high-quality inventory. Not rocket science bruh

The are not necessarily going to decrease the ctr. Enough dumb fucks have started using their conversion tracking for FB to figure out which inventory is shit. Get ready for a flood of traffic from apps only played by crack whores and homeless at the public library.
