When I was younger I was a huge star wars fan. Had all the toys, the video games, everything. When I was a freshman in college (1998), the first of the new trilogy came out and my roommate scored us tickets to the opening premiere.

Ruined star wars for me.

Wow I am surprised by this. I think it was so long between films people forgot the message and more importantly were spoiled by awesome special effects for other movies.

I waited for fricken 1.5 years I dunno for the first one to come out and I loved it. Sure there were a couple blips of huh? and stuff but I didn't judge the fucker I just enjoyed the fucker.

The thing I had to choke down was the explanation of the Force as midichlorians or whatever. But I did it haha :)
