Ever since this whole "upgrade" process that Hostgator did a month or 2 back, my sites have had horrendous server response times. After they "fixed" that server problem that made my sites all crash for a day, my sites have all been slow as hell still.

I was wondering if you guys thought it was a better idea to either set up Cloudflare with some of my bigger sites while keeping Hostgator, or if I should move my sites to a new hosting company. If a new host would be better, who would be the best?

I think your keeping hostgator. It's best in all hosting.Quality and The service best.
If you move your sites to a new hosting company, your will disappointment.

I'm probably not taking any Engrish advice here. Hostgator WAS the best, but has made some changes that brought them down a lot.

EIG seems to be buying out all of the hosting companies that don't require IT experience to use. The strategy seems to be part of some big Wall Street roll up. Everything is being moved to the shitty Utah data center, and look for prices to be raised en masse soon.

It's a smart play.
