Hey everyone,

New to the site. Brief info on how I became obsessed with SEO.

4 Years ago I started a manufacturing distribution company. My company is based in in Kansas City with my overseas office in Shenzhen China. Basically my company outsources products from various manufactures and imports them directly into the U.S. market for for commercial or consumer sales. (any products, pens, shirts, MP3's, etc, if it is manufactured, we manufacture it).

Then, through an associate, I met a SEO nut (one of your guys) that blew my mind. We had a product that we inventoried (touch screen phone) but it wasn't selling to our clients. I gave our associate 150 of them and he sold them in 2 days through one of his 5K sites.

This is how I got hooked on SEO.

I am currently learning as much as I can. I have read 4 books in the last couple weeks and done about as much research as I can with the available time I have. I have created 3 sites and trying to learn the HTML coding, designing aspects, backlinking, cliques, content, Meta tags, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Recently, I have become highly ranked (with a couple keyword phrases) on one of my sites on google, yahoo, etc. I stated doing the whole CL thing, some email list, some registration programs, biulding conent, etc, and I am getting on average 700-900 people to my site a day. I know to most of you this isn't much but hopefully my knowledge will only grow in years to come.

I look forward to meeting some of you and hopefully we can help each other out!

LOL, sorry. The worste part is I posted twice because I thought my first post didn't go through. Thanks for the welcomes though! I will make sure to post in the correct catagory from now on.

So you're the guy who sold me that crappy mp3 player on ebay!

Never sell anything on ebay, but yeah, some of the products you'll "occasionally" see on ebay (including MP3 players) we have sourced in the past.

Our primary business is designing, engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and distributing consumer electronics. Taking a concept and putting it on the shelf.

Outsourcing has become pretty popular over the years though. With the right infastructure overseas, you can also outsource great products at a fraction of US distribution cost.

Welcome to WickedFire. Unfortunately due to your noob actions, you're going to get raped....scroll down to find out who's gonna rape you....

wow, didn't mean to cause a stir up. I'll read the rules and post accordingly from now on.

BTW- Thanks for the welcome Rage9, nice meeting you as well!

Just so we don't get the same post over and over again may as well go ahead and delete this thread. Didn't see where I could delete it so I guess go ahead Admin. I will place threads in the right spot from now on.

thanks for the welcomes guys. Looking forward to reading throught the site

Welcome to WF.

If you think it is amazing that someone could sell 150 phones through their websites in 2 days, then you are in for a treat. Make Money with SEO teaches you how to set up a similar network of websites, all high ranking, in a matter of 2-3 weeks. Best of all, the information they provide is free. Head on over and check it out.

Phillip- pretty good, getting ready to launch three new products next month after 18 months of work. One of our newer product is in the Hammacher Shlemmer catalog/webstie (2.4 gHz wireless speaker, although we are in the process of switching to digital). Our other new product is on the Standard Merit website under products, Digital Security System (although they are old pictures from initial prototypes). It is a completely wireless device from the hand held unit to the wireless waterproof cameras that are motion sensored an voice activated. Looking forward tro launching this product more then any.

Pretty good one there Matt! I guess I should get use to this sort of shit on this site..lol. Thank god for Ctrl Alt Delete. Hopefully within the next month or so I can read through the codes and see that one coming! Thats one reason why I am here. Wont be making that mistake again thanks to you.

Dima: Welcome aboard... Good to see you're not getting your panties in a twist over the flaming, and that you're not a complete twonk with no clue that wants us to do the hard work for them.
We appreciate people that roll with the punches and actually bother to research some of their stuff before they get here.

So long as you keep your sense of humour and enjoy a good tit here and there, you're gonna do just fine here.

Also, if you're a manufacturer, can you please post a link to your business? Or just PM it to me?
I'm always on the look out for merchandising suppliers for my side projects, and you never know when you'll find the next most competitive quote.

HarveyJ- Thanks for the post.

Our two website are www.marchedisign.com and Standard Merit. Marche is our design/engineering office in Kansas City. Standard Merit is our marketing office in Las Vegas. Most of the products on our websites have exclusivity contracts with companies throughout the U.S (can't distribute them). Currently, we have three products that aren't under contact which can be sold to any business. The three producst are the Portable Gas Detector (PGD), Digital Security System (DSS), and the Power Cop.

If you are interested in other product lines shoot me a P.M. any time. We can source a manufacture and provide quotes, specs, images, delivery times, pricing, and anything else required. We have a full Q/A staff with engineers in our office in Shenzhen that manages production and inspections for every run followed by an entire Inspection report for each order. We will also manage shipping, duties, and customs for each production order.

We haven't updated our websites with outsourced products because it wasn't our primary business. Last year however we manufactured and imported 9+ conatiners of strickly outsourced products. Let me know if there are any specific products you are looking for. I can usually have a full quote prepared in 72 hours from the date of request.

Thanks again for the remarks. I am really just trying to learn the ins and outs SEO and generating targeted traffic. I have spent countless hours so far and I am ready to learn more! You guys have one of the most powerful tools in the business world today!
