Newbie Convert From WarriorForum Asking If This Is All BS ?

I'm trying to get started in internet marketing and I don't know much right now. I've spent about a week reading as much as possible over at the Warrior Forum and I got fed up because my opinion of what is going on over there, is that it is a bunch of inbreeding, i.e. people just selling each other ebooks on how to make money, and those ebooks are just about selling other ebooks to make money!

Then you have people shilling their own products by writing articles under fake names and spewing them out all over the net.

Then there are those people posting their $70K PayPal screen shots.

Frankly, I just don't buy it. Don't know if I'll get anything different here, but I thought that I would give it a try.

So here are my questions :

1. Is internet marketing and affiliate marketing all about getting people to buy your ebooks or ebooks that you buy from someone else or is there more to it ?

2. Are these screenshots of Paypal just a BS marketing tool ?

3. What is the best place to go and read to get realistic info on building a business in internet marketing that doesn't mean selling people crappy ebooks or generating huge link farms to push people to web sites ?

1)There is more to it. Real marketing cannot be bought from a forum in an e-book. If you have a money printing machine, you do not sell the money printing machine. You print money. Keep that in mind whenever you think of buying an ebook
2)Yes. Half the time, they're either photoshopped, or the result of different ventures. I knew one guy who went out promoting an affiliate program, and took "earnings" screenshots..but this was really what HE was getting as a cut of recruiting hundreds of gullible affiliates! He blurred out the "2nd tier" part of the report.
3)I think you're in one of the best places. DP and WarriorForum are crap. Utter crap. No one is getting rich there aside from the people ripping off the newbies. Check out sphinn.com as well for general SEO news, I love that place.

True information is hard to find, but it IS out there. Just take your time looking, and always be skeptical.

Squeed, I've just got to say that Paper is right, you most certainly are in the right place. Yes, this industry is real - people wouldn't be doing it on things other than ebooks otherwise.

You sound smart enough (you're at least articulate and don't come off as a complete retard right away), hang around here and you'll see results.
 
Take one afternoon off and read all of the newbie section, starting with the stickied threads.

We are all here to answer questions, but annoyingly stupid questions will get you fucked over something fierce.

If you pay attention and use critical thinking, you'll be able to spot exactly how people make money by reading these forums.

From PPV to PPC to PPA/PPL to direct sales (ebooks, memberships, other digital goods, or even physical goods) you have a lot of different opportunities, and the info is right there for you. Everything else is just technique.
 
For a newbie there are so many way's to get started it may at times become overwhelming! just stick with one thing, get comfortable with it : PPC, MembershipSites, Blogs, etc, whatever and start doing it :)

Welps! here come my first post. Anyways, as a noobie myself i would like to welcome to you to one of the best Affiliate Marketing on the net right now. <==Sounds like im advertising. I understand that your confused, when i first started i was confused 2. Like what emp was saying, take a couple days off and read everything on wickedfire. Dont skim it, read it and try to understand it. This is a great forum with great people, take a good advantage of it :]. I love wicked, cuz everyone have their own little stories, and i spend couple hours reading them everyday :D
 
Alternatively ... you can invest your money in somebody else's idea, get yourself a title of, oh lets say, CFO and be a proud member of internet marketing community.:D

P.S. I need investors:D

I disagree, we arent really great people, we are assholes, but thats what makes our forum fun, the key to surviving at WF is even if you have to ask n00b questions, make them atleast sound somewhat intelligent.
 
Yea, You're in the right place. I got fed up with Warrior too. Wicked has far better info and much more talent (just spend time reading the threads). I'm new here too (new to being an active member anyway) but have gotten more out of WF in a month than Warrior in a year. The WF guys (and gals) will fuck with you, but its all good. They just started a Case Study for n00bs (I didn't get in this time). To me, that says a lot.
 
I have heard people describing that online biz is hard....I like to look at it in a different way. I like to look it at that working a 9-5 for 28 years then getting laid off 2 weeks before retirement is hard.

I would much rather work on site all the time then punching a clock for 44 hours a week(my current schedule.)


I cant wait to start my life.

Fortunately Im only 22, I might be young enough to experience life.

WickedFire Is where it is at.
