Seriously though man. If you want to learn AM you need to be familiar with all the basic "media types". These "media types" are the channels that are used to market. They can include, PPV, PPC, Incent, Content Locking, Email, Display, etc. You need to be familiar with the lingo so at least if you don't know what you are talking about you can bullshit and make it look like you do. This way you won't get smashed on this forum because you are asking questions that show you are so illiterate in online marketing that even my 90 year old grandmother could give you a run for your money.
People on here don't have time to answer the real basic questions. Even this post has made me feel like somehow my own intelligence has dropped....And I can't afford that shit. So start Googleing terms so people can have a knowledgeable conversation.

Welcome man, I'm new too, to be honest reading books isn't exactly the best thing. Just get in, get your hands dirty and learn by losing money. I wasted a month by reading some bullshit book that is for the most part outdated by now ( this game is changing daily). Best of luck this shit isn't meant for everyone.
I also don't understand why random phrases are highlighted blue. Is this some poor SEO attempt where someone forgot to insert the links?
I'd suggest buying up media with Pulse 360 and running acai rebills with fake article pages. Lots of money in that. Just make it look as much like a real news article as possible and show really extreme fake results (fake before and after images and extreme weight loss claims.) You'll profit in no time.
This thread is hilarious, on a somewhat serious side though.
First off forums normally will be filled with flames and half truths if you get a straight answer at all. One good suggestion in this thread was to "jump in get your hands dirty and lose a bit of money". But that is only half of it, the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes. If you are not learning anything you are doing something wrong, and will continue to lose money. I'm sure most guys will be willing to give you a somewhat decent answer if you come prepared. Have a specific question in mind and not a big general all inclusive question like "How do I start marketing" if so you get a thread like this. All though very funny and entertaining for the rest of us, not so much for you.

Focus on one thing at a time until you become good at it, be it mailing, seo, social media, incent sites whatever. Do your research, become educated, ask the right questions, and jump on the crazy train and start earning.
