newbie needs help with making a first sale

Mike- looks like you have some free time on your hands. REad the entire affiliate marketing section of this site, the stickies etc, and you will know all you need. SERIOUSLY.

Might take a while, but ALL the info you need is here..and it wont cost you a dime..just your time.
After reading, dont do like alot of others do..wasting time reading more shit on other sites, or anything else but WORKING.
Work at AM, and in a few months you will be making money. It really is pretty easy if you dig in and work.. And you really dont need money to start making a few bucks a day...u can get EVERYTHING for free....

yeah man if you work hard at it you'll make money. Just keep trying until you get it right. Plenty of newbies start cashing in 10-30k/month or more within a few months of starting. And for each of those 100 other newbies fail. It's all up to you.
 
I like this, an ex soldier who's done more in life than anyone else here, me especially (apologies to anyone that thinks they've done more) and still fighting on. If after reading all the resources here, which are excellent, and your still struggling, I'll happily help you. There's too much info out there and it hurts your ass the more you read. Keep it simple. If you contact me I'll happily help you out at no cost (well you do need to buy some stuff for yourself). No strings and I don't want the mass control stuff either, it will come in handy later on.

If you fuckheads where making money in this business, you would'nt have the time to be total assholes in your useless posts. There are a few genuine people here at WF, for the rest of you...get a life...get a job..and find some other forums to post your bullshit on

Seriously, though, take heed to the WF flamers. They are brutal but we're all rape victims to some degree. Hell my first rapist was Mark Warren with the Ultimate Wealth Package and my second pulled a train on me called Buck and Brock with Pipeline Profits. I got wise and kicked Rich Jerk, Carlos and Lupe, Brad Callen all in the groin and ran and said enough is enough. Stopped allowing myself to get bombarded with Guru spam, and actually started to "act" instead of read and that's when I saw a change. Hope that helps. Good luck.
 
I'm going to give you the best tip on here:

Cross the finish line. Yes that's right, instead of spinning your wheels to 80% completion on a million different things pick one task a day, and finish it. I promise you that with a) some intelligence <you decide whether you have this>, b) about 60-80 hours of solid reading/TRYING <code wise> and learning and c) the ability to not do a million things half assed and incomplete but instead focus on a few and complete them you can easily make money online w/ free information and free tools.

What separates those who start crushing it from those who never make a dime is solely the effort- I cannot tell you how many people I've offered $1M worth of info/handholding to (close friends/family) who never take the initiative once the going gets a little tough and resort to "oh I can't do that" or "oh that's too technical."

First tasks: Go to prosper202.com and watch every video of how to use it. Install the self hosted version or use tracking202.com's hosted version. Then go get a webhost, and start playing around with HTML. Figure out how things work. Spend 20-30 hours making a change, saving it, and refreshing the browser to see what your change did. Then read both the treasuretrove thread and Nickycakes newbie guide.

Then profit. The comment above about being the hardest $50 you've ever made is damn accurate. However scalling this $50 10-100x will be laughably easy depending on how good you are and how much capital risk you're willing to take on.

Oh- and throw every god damned 'Guru' / "paid training" device/class out the fucking window. Don't get sucked into this marketed bullshit - remember- THOSE WHO CAN'T - TEACH.

The biggest problem of all online marketers is that they dont take action, but instead jump from one thing to another.

Its easy ok, you need an affiliate product, then you need a small landing page, and then you need to driver traffic there. Free traffic for example, web 2.0 traffic. Begin with that, and when you start making a bit of a money, try to learn more stuff and expand. Like learning some SEO, design, tracking etc...

Just wanted to say thanks for your Service man....my best friend has been to Iraq twice and now is in Afghanny for another duel tour so I know where you're coming from.

Also like everyone has said, read the newbie section from top to bottom and read Nickycakes newbie guide. Very good info and best of all FREE!!!
