Been doing some SEO on my site to what i've learned so far from this awesome ass forum. I have PR 2 now but have come to realize I am not ranking let's say in position 2 of all my keyword searches. Can someone better explain to me what PR 2 is?

PR doesn't mean shit, it's a metric created by google that ranks a site based on backlinks (quantity & quality)

Based on your logic, you should try go back down to a PR1 so you can be ranked #1 for all your keywords.

But as others already said, dont concentrate on PR too much... it's not that important, unless you want to sell the domain on DP afterwards

Listen, do a god damn search and check the top 10 results. Are they in any particular PR order? No. Does the #1 spot have a higher PR than the rest? Almost never is the case. Do I nofollow Wikipedia links out of spite? You're damn right I do. :anon.sml:

sign yourself up for as many blog directories or whatever that you can find
then put a link to your website in every area of the web you can think of that allows you to post information
figure out which ones actually bring you visitors by looking at your logs
reuse the ones that work well on new sites.

Much of the traffic I get is from Other sites!
So......PR I don't know... it doesn't help that much to me!
