Ron Paul is a true patriot and strict Constitutionalist. Just look at his voting record. It's a stark contrast to Neo-cons and liberals who either want to take away your rights to privacy or raise your taxes to hell. There aren't many politicians who give two shits about our constitutional rights. I can assure you, no neo-con or liberal presidential candidate will.

Ok, now that I got that plug out of the way, i will say I admire Senater Gravel's to the point stature.

Ron Paul is the best Republican candidate.
But Mike Gravel is the best amongst the Democrats.
Both have fairly similar viewpoints when it comes to our foreign policy.
 
What did you all think of the debate?

2008 Election Debate

Well if I am going to ask you all i will have to let you all know what i thought of it.

First I thought the moderator was horible. He did not have any control and the candidates had all the control. I saw where only half of them were asked one question then the other half were asked hand questoins that the group answered. But also this was done by MSNBC so I am sure when the debates make it to CBS, ABC, or NBC they will surely be better.

Well as far as the candidates the said safe answers and jsut let everyone know they know there stuff and what they are there for. I was interested in someof teh comments about how some of tehm felt how the war should be ended.

IMO if any of the candidates can fix bush's fuck ups its him. Plus he's an economist which is exactly what we need.
 
nowadays it's just a popularity race. whoever gets the most influential private donors ends up being the winner, and then spends the next 4 years returning those favors
 
I honestly didn't know much about mike gravel before this thread. I am waaaay impressed. If it some how manages to come down to him and ron paul for the presidency all my faith in the system will be restored. We will have an awesome country.

That is really sad to hear in the part 3 of htat video series how he is only pulling in a couple hundred bucks a day in donations.
 
He was on the Colbert Report a couple hours ago. Colbert didn't let him talk enough, but just being on the show will probably help him out.
 
Hillary = Bush

She hasn't complained one bit about the idea of the "Unitary Executive". Know why? She wants it for herself. I hope every one of the folks who happily rode this neocon nightmare into the abyss remembers that as Hillary expands the already excruciating anti-american policies of the Bush administration that they helped it happen. Wow, run-on sentence.

Wish we'd all remember what we have in common and comprimise on our points of conflict. Absolutism is killing this country.

Hillary will NOT = Bush. She will make world history and change the country forever. A woman president, more power to her. I dont agree with some of her politics, but i hope she wins.

In my lifetime i wanna see atleast 1 woman president, one african american president and one gay president.

Then i will die a happy man.
