Finally. I was waiting for them to do this. Honestly, Internet Explorer is the most bullshit browser there is. They should stop trying to make it better because to be honest, nowadays people are more commonly using browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. Its about time they get rid of those old, worthless browsers.
Thats right. You have given out a fair, decent point. In April 2011, over 40% of the population with internet access used Firefox as a browser, with Internet Explorer coming second with 24%. This is, like you said, mainly due to the clear fact that Internet Explorer is the default browser with all computers. However, some people need to open their eyes. Internet Explorer is not a good browser and Im sure you may know that too. Its capabilities may match other browsers but at the end of the day, I prefer using browsers such as Chrome, Firefox or Opera. In 2002, nearly 3/4 of the population used Internet Explorer and each year from that year onwards, the percentage decreased by atleast 4%. It started at 83.4% in 2002 and now in 2011, it is 24%. See the difference? Again, they have made a good choice to abandon the old browsers and I respect them for that.
Unfortunately as long as most people still buy windows computers, most people will still use IE. I can't wait for the day IE is irrelevant and useless, but I can't see that day coming for another 5 years, at least. Too many people who just know nothing about the internet using IE.
