Nice snowboard vid...



Are they boarding at a resort or just dropping in at some random mountain? I'm on the east coast and have never seen snow like that.

West coast mountains are so much better than the ones on the east. They have so much more powder and deeper snow than over on the east.

Resorts are only fun for parks. You haven't really snowboarded until you free mountain. I guarantee once you board the back country you never hit a resort again besides to pull girls or ride the park. Snow like that is everywhere

That doesn't look like tahoe to me. Where's the few hundred 10 yr old kids always sitting in the middle of all the triple black diamond runs while all the 40 yr old parents snow plow all the powder around them at 5mph till its nice and hard ice?

Backcountry is great and all, but not everyone likes the 'earn your turns' way of riding. There are plenty of resorts around the globe that offer great lift accessed free riding.
 
We take 2+ sleds and use them as lifts once we find some good spots. Fuck if I am hiking up a mountain unless its me and a buddy pulling the sleds back by hand. Gets you up to the top 90% faster than any lift.

I see the appeal of the resort. More "civilized"
 
Damn, one of the reasons I'm going to miss Switzerland once I leave, are the mountains, really the only reason winter is great.

Agree with BigWill on the resort thing, once you have boarded virgin powder, you never want to go back.
 
cool concept!!! Hey, anybody try heliboarding? It must be the coolest thing in hole snowboarding! If I just can try it!!!
 
Go to Whistler in BC, Canada...the olympics were just there in case you weren't paying attention. Epic snow, fun ass town and tons and tons of fun places to ride within the resort or via helicopter!
