Niche Payouts

When choosing a niche to go after is there anyway to get a rough idea of what the AdSense payout for clicks will be? Or is it just a matter of testing for yourself?

I ask because i just started up my 7search account and found that whilst i get some ok traffic and a great click through rate the money just doesn't seem to be there for this niche.

think about it for a second. if there is something expensive to be sold through the ad, then the adSense payout would be large.

for example, if i was selling a car through adwords, i would pay high cpc because i can get thousands off a car. Same goes with hiring lawyers, medical, etc. and that is why these niches have high adsense payouts.
