Niches with low search volume

Is anybody here promoting an offer that has a low search volume?

After doing a G. search for the keyword, I did not see a lot of affiliates promoting this offer (I saw only 3 or 4 affiliate landing pages). This is a medical topic, and a bit off-beat. In fact, I had to do a lot of searching around to find an affiliate program for this.

How would you approach this, and by what criteria would you judge its promotional-worthiness? It pays very well, btw.
 


Generally I stay away from niches with very low search volume. It's just not worth my time.

That being said, if the commission is high enough and the competition is really low, than this might be an ideal candidate for a "set and forget" type website.

If you can build a landing page and get it to the top of the natural search rankings (shouldn't be difficult if there is no competition), after that you spend no time on it and it could bring in commissions if people are actually buying the product. If they are not, then abandon the idea. The process of building the landing page should take less than a day, and depending on the competition, getting to the top of the rankings shouldn't take that long either...

Thanks for the opinion. I'm interested because I think this is a niche that will be much bigger very soon, and it has expanded a great deal over the past year or two. I expect the keywords are very cheap, and maybe it could earn me a passive income while on autopilot. It was also pretty easy to find a good domain name.
 
The best thing you can do for yourself is test it out. I suppose the offer is paying $50+. So, even 2 conversions a day would get you passed that $100/day mark; making it worth it.

What I would do if I were you is make sure that I have a high quality score for the keyword, meaning 9 or 10. Otherwise sooner or later you're QS will drop into higher bids.
 
Just coz u find 3-4 competing LP's does not mean the niche will be profiltable. I'd rather venture into some other niche; unless this niche is really fast growing but is unnoticed by the rest of the world.

Seriously though, ROIShareTeam's advice is good if you think you've got the time, and the payouts for the niche are good. Get it going, get some backlinks going to rank for it, and come back after 30 days. If it's made money, scale, dominate, and tell everyone it failed in a massive massive way so that people don't get ideas about getting into foreskin restoration.
