Nigerian in custody after alleged airline terror act foiled



The suspect, identified by a U.S. government official as 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, ignited a small explosive device Friday, shortly before a Northwest flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands, made its landing in Detroit, Michigan.

Thankfully a bunch of passengers owned this fucking guy. Good thing he was a noob and unable to build a bomb that could actually blow a plane up.

Amsterdam Schipol is usually pretty tight but not as tight as Heathrow or Gatwick (or most UK airports) and don't get me started about the (lack of) security at Italian airports ...
