No Excuses 3 - Official Thread

Adding my name to the list. I'm in a similar boat to a few above - been lurking far too long and should have read easily enough to get started but just somehow haven't done anything yet.

Thanks for the help Mike, following this thread will I hope give a much needed kickstart :)

I have a question SEO_mike, Instead of sending it to you, I figured id post it since someone like scotty_g might be able to answer it as well.

Since we will have landing pages set up with these offers, and some of the offers have small print related to the offer that clear the company, should we have any additional small print on our TLD's that states that these are offers from other companies and "1000reviews.com is not responsible for any programs blah blah blah. Basically when setting up a landing site, do we need small print of our own?

Hope I am not jumping the gun, and the question makes sense. Just want to make sure that my ass is covered from any people with reoccurring payments.

Cheers.

That's up to you and maybe the advertising network you use. I have one that requires a shit-load of disclaimers, etc before they'll let me run anything. It's ridiculous.

Anywhooooo....

Seeing as people are still asking me for domain ideas and how to choose a niche, I thought to myself: "Self, why create, edit and post a video that may or may not answer all their questions." And of course I replied "Well, me, that's a good fucking question".

Then, between me, myself and I (I was left out of the previous discussion, but I did come up with this) I decided:

Why not just do a live demonstration? We have the technology, and after today's successful test, it's a go.

Without further adieu:

Tomorrow between 2pm CDT and 3pm CDT Live from your computer:

Choosing a Niche and Domain Name

[/FONT]That's the sign up link for tomorrow's Webinar. For those that can't attend it will be recorded so you can play it back at your leisure.

Spots are limited (until I get the Pro version) so signup NOW! Using the link, of course. BTW, it requires your first and last name and email address. Sorry, I can't take that shit off of the signup page. So, get over it. I'm not going to spam you, or even use your email address for anything at all. I'm not sure if you can use a fake one or if the system will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm. Use a real one that you can access.

The thank-you page shows what you need to get in the webinar. But if you're going to do NE3 you should trust that SEO_Mike won't spam you.

For me it's during real job work hours but as long as we don't have our weekly meeting at that time I'll be good to go.

Thanks for doing this.

Hi all: (2rd post) :)
Now this is the 'juice'... I agree, SEO techniques are found in many net corners. So actually: researching, developing, executing, and analyzing a real live PPC campaign would be the ducks nuts, in my opinion.

P.S. I just signed up today, is it too late to join the group??

Last: fuck the SEO tutorial, figure it out on your own. :D Seriously though, I don't think it would be the best benefit for the most people. Sooooo....instead I'm going to do a tutorial on launching a PPC campaign from ground zero to actually running it. The tutorial will have a real campaign with a fixed budget. I'm not going to create a completely fake campaign for "widgets" or something. I'll go through the process of research, signing up for an affiliate network, choosing an offer, creating a landing page, signing up with an ad network, writing the copy, testing, etc..... Hopefully, it will even make some money. We'll see though.

Realistically, with all that needs to be done, NE3 is still probably 2 - 4 weeks away. I know, I know, stop your groaning, but I want this to really help people and not be a repeat of NE2. In the meantime, feel free to hit me up on AIM if you need help with something (other than sex or money, and sex is negotiable if you're female and really hot).

Get back to work, you're not making any money reading forums. :D

Whew! Just finished up with the webinar about 15 minutes ago. 90 minutes of questions, answers and tangents. I'll be posting the recording on A4DHelp.com for everyone to view once it's finished converting.

Was really good thanks Mike :) Couldn't get my mic working with it but was cool to just listen.

Also couldn't get my mic working, but the webinar was really helpful, thanks Mike! Tons of good info in there for anyone that didn't catch it, definitely check it out

The video was great, what impressed me was your methodolgy in finding traffic to suit your product. I had tried Google Ad Planner before but it would not bring back results for my keywords for the specific country (Australia) due to not being enough data. After watching your video I set the country to US, set the keywords, got the demographics I was after and then targeted Australian traffic based on demographics only.

I tried placing the domains in my adgroup but I don't thinking im paying enough as I'm getting zero impressions, i'll keep playing with that :) Thanks again and can't wait for the next part.

What kind of stuff should we use for c1 c2 c3 when creating a link? Stuff like traffic source, landing page, and keyword?

No, it's not that I can anyways. You would check the "Video" section on A4Dhelp.com if you didn't know.

The video was great. Looking forward to the next one, and also looking forward to trying campaign sniper.

When I joined WF I knew virtually nothing about IM. You wouldn't believe the amount of time I spent just googling acronyms in the beginning.

I eventually managed to build several niche sites, and have learned a shit ton more than I thought possible over these last several months.

And it just hit me after watching the NE3 niche/domain name video, that I understood. every. fucking. word.
