Great thread guys, just go out of the hospital and want to get back to this stuff. This thread has been giving me the motivation. Now just need to get back to the research and find out where to start again.
 
Registered at 5 or 6 forums when this started. Made small talk and asked some questions for a while. Now I've gone back, added the site to my signatures and all is going smooth. Created a squidoo lens about the cars and as soon as it shows up on my list, I'm going to be joining a lot of car groups over there.

I have some never blue ads up in strategic locations and I'm thinking about pulling the one set of YPN ads off the page for now. We'll see how it goes.

Probably going to start hitting up Yahoo groups, myBlogLog, and Google groups. Woohoo. Are we having fun yet?

I see this as growing a bamboo tree. You water and fertilize (all the grunt work) for a length of time then after a while it suddenly springs. It's not what you did most recently that made it successful its all the effort you put into it by doing the 'right things' early on that pay the most dividends later.

Am I right?

Mike (and the rest of high level mentors), am I missing anything yet? I've got more 'generational' content going on those parent pages. If I can get that done by morning, I'll be happy.

Since 22 May when I installed analytics

Visits: 285
Visitors: 248
Pageviews: 601
Pages/Visit: 2.11
Bounce Rate: 77.19%
Avg Time on Site: 1.35
New Visits: 87.02%

Believe it or not, only 22% came from WF.
I'm also getting 2.11% from google(organic) and 46 visits came from direct.

Ok, I think I'm done here for the day. hahahahaha

I use it on all of my blogs. Not sure how well it looks, but its the largest list I've seen.
 
guys,

do me a favour and look at one of the pages within my site. Im having trouble with NB banners. Fore some reason only one ad box is appearing on all the pages within the site there should be two NB ad placements. Its not showing for me ???

Where is the navigation? The links in the middle "Most Popular Glitter Graphics Today:" don't work for me so all I see is the home page.
 
SHIT! the idea is force users to use the adsense as a dummy nav bar.

the only links into the site are via the most popular.

Worried about them not click through - what happens when u click on the most popular link?
 
No, your idea will work. Its just that I'm not a dumbass so I didn't click your adsense. Your target audience should be dumb enough to click your adsense all day ;)

But as far as the Most popular links go, I click it and nothing happens at all. Viewing your source code, you are linking to files located on your hard drive, not a web server. Upload those page, then link to them via www.glitterwhatver.com/thepageyouwanttolinkto.

Get it?

Im thinking a good way to drive traffic would be to use something like FriendBlaster (Myspace Adder) since im basically focussing on this audience - anyone got any experience of this software? Im using the free trial version at the minute.

Okay so far I'm starting to get the hang of writing up content. It is short but if you notice the discrepancy and technical aspects of my first post compared to my latest you'll see what I mean.

I've updated my ping list and I also head to PingMyBlog.com and ping from there after I make a new post.

I have so far had 8 amazon referrals for no sales.

Apparently I've had 80 page views, with 68% of them from WF and the rest direct hits. I don't know how they find it?

My idea with this is to grow it organically via Google search.

Lavish, direct hits are people typing in the URL manually. Its most likely just you at this stage :) (If I'm not mistaken... Its late...)
