Noobs, I think this post might actually be able to help u out a bit.

After spending a decent amount of time on this forum, and doing PPC. I came to the conclusion that posting here on WF can be directly related to PPC.

No you don't get paid or w.e. But the concept of putting something out there that is either "attractive", interesting, controversial, or informative is prevalent in both PPC and WF posting.

When you post on this forum your main goal is to get people to:

1: Click on your post- This can directly be related to ad copy on PPC. If im bored (I know its a little dorky lol, but idc), i'll scan through WF and just see what posts are hot. What types of Titles are "hooking" us in?

*Apply this to PPC by using the same techniques as the people who post interesting shit on here. Use questions, current events, etc.

2: Click to Post Ratio: Break the posts down, see why people are clicking on them, what the people are saying, and what the click to post ratio is. Believe it or not, this can give you a good fucking idea of what type of shit sparks peoples interests.

If the post has a shit ton of views, but few replies, you could almost guarantee that the post had a great heading that hooked people, but the content on it was either not relevant to the headline, or it was just a boring topic.

*If you don't have ur shit together in ur PPC game and you don't tightly target ads/ KW's, you are either losing money real fast, or majorly hurting your ROI.

3: Targeting: This should be pretty fucking obvious. But if you are targeting the WRONG people, its not fucking good and your chances of making money are close to nothing. ie: If you are trying to find a designer to hook up some hardcore LP, it wouldn't be in your best interest to put that post in the newbie section, Art of mailing section, or Industry News section.

*Same shit with picking keywords (and media buying). Would you advertise a men's weight loss supplement on womensweekly.com or something that isn't in your target demo?

Idk, I just thought I saw a bit of a similarity between the two. And it's not hard to relate the two at all.... Hope someone can take something from this post and apply it. If not, w.e.

Definitely the right mind set to be in..if you want to get good at anything you should be obsessing over it and relating it to everything. I would say a good next step from there (at least research wise) would be to take this general concept and then do the same for the niche you are working with. I.E., if you're doing an e-mail submit for a financial offer, go check out a first time home buyers forum and see what people are talking about, etc..
