NYC people, any ISP recommendations?

So, just moved to NYC and was wondering everyone's choice for Cable TV and Internet? I have seen fliers for Time Warner and RCN, but was wondering if any other provider was out there that I should look into.

Any suggestions?
 


I so wish I could go back to having Time Warner. Comcast bought them out around here. The nice thing with Time Warner for your ISP is that they have direct backbone connections to many major DCs so that will cut routing time down.
 
How is Verizon? I checked their site and they don't have FIOS available in my building yet, just their high-speed service.

EDIT: just did a quick service availability check on their website and it isn't available in my zip code
 
I don't think there's any other options for Internet other than the ones you already mentioned. NYC is kind of limited in terms of providers, and the ones we have aren't that great.
 
ok, I'll probably go with Time Warner even though RCN seems to be cheaper, but I know nothing about them.
 
Fios definitely rocks - find out if when it is coming, and if soon, get the Verizon service, so you can switch over
