offer doing well in PPC not in SEO

I've been running this offer on ppc since last June and I've been doing pretty well. In gross I've made about $20K since then with this particular offer. So, about 3 months ago I decided to create a blog targetting people in that niche. The content is really good, I've had positive comments made, yesterday I also got an offer from somebody wanting to purchase the website.The problem is, when I promote that offer using that blog nobody signs up to that offer by clicking on the banner. I've made probably about $40 from that site. That was from 1 signup. I changed to promoting a similiar offer since the one I was running on ppc doesnt get any clicks. The site is 5 months and I had purchased a package of 1000 backlinks. I know backlinks take some time to stick but, does it take this long? So far it's had 1700 uniques since October. The site is ranking for some long tail keywords in that niche and it gets about a 100 uniques a week. I've only had 3 comments total on the blog but, they are positive comments and they want more articles, wondering what happened.I don't have any experience on ranking sites for keywords or SEO I've always worked with PPC. I just did a quick search on Google to see where the site ranks for the phrase that I was trying to get the site to rank for (the keywords that do well in PPC) and I can't find my site in 12 pages. I stopped searching after that. The articles are keyword rich with that phrase and it's even in the domain name. There are 30 articles in that blog. Should I continue to get more articles written? It's going to end up costing me but, if I'm doing well with it on PPC, I don't see how I shouldn't be doing well in organic results so maybe I should continue working on the site. Or do I need to give the site more time? Should I do more link building? All of the above? I've already probably spent $400 on the site from getting the blog designed, articles, link building, etc.. Or should I just sell it, if so how much do you think I should sell it for? Thanks

check out where your traffic is coming from. If it appears to be good traffic then the problem is probably your "ad optimization". Try playing with where the ad is displayed.

To be honest it sounds like you aren't that great at seo. If you want some help hit me up via AIM or MSN. You can tell me the url if you want better help, if not it's all good. I'll show you some tools you should be using to check how well your site is doing.

Figured I would explain myself so people don't think I'm after your keywords..
 
How do I find the CTR, just check my stats and average the number of daily users and divide by the number of clicks I get? If so, I took the number of unique visitors and divided by the number of clicks on this particular offer and got .09I noticed something in my stats, the 1st month I started this blog I got 10-20 clicks on this banner for about 4 days in a row. All the other days since then it's always been around 1-2 clicks a day.My other offer is at: .02Adsense CTR = 2.47% Maybe I should just put more adsense on there?The banners are easily visible just nobody is clicking them.
 
send some PPC traffic to your blog it see if it converts.

your PPC traffic may be from "buy" words and your organic more for people just researching.

at $40 a lead i'm sure your in a competitive niche, will take a while to rank. you need some authority links i assume.
