Okay how about this idea guys: The free Acai Berry offers available all over the place.
Target if for areas that have a higher population of overweight people (texas lol) or something like that. Get a good free acai domain name. Here are my copy ideas

Do you have trouble losing weight?
Try Acai berry the new all natural
weight loss drink featured on oprah!
Free! freeacai.com

What do you guys think?

It could work, but you don't sell to people just because they need the product--you sell to people that'll buy the product.

Go look up some numbers of states with Internet access and with people that regularly buy health/beauty products.

any updates? I am sure you still got a few clicks a day or 2 after the ad was shown?

Epic fail :)

My first try was newspaper classifieds and a major free daily's back-cover.

I tried some real estate stuff, and zip/email for a Wii and iPhone.

On roughly $500 spending we made $40 back. Real estate was especially brutal - about 75% of traffic ended up coming from Craigslist.

Of everything I think the Wii has the best chance of actually working with refinement.

In the future I hope to try that out and also try some credit-repair/report offers.

I sent out the 1000 flyers the other week (Near the time this thread started) and I have broke even.

Out of the 1000 flyers I got 167 clicks and out of those clicks I somehow got 2 conversions at $35/conversion.

I shouldn't call this breaking even because sending out the flyers costs me $60 bucks for the thousand, but I still paid $30 for the paper and I'm sure it killed my $40 ink carterage so if you calculate in everything I'm down about $60 bucks still.

I think I could have done better with my copy though so I'm going to keep at this for awhile and see what I can do up.

Alright - fuck the papers. Here's my suggestion:

Get a white panel van with no windows on the cheap - fleet auction, craigslist, local classifieds.

This is going to be a multi-use vehicle so first, dress it out as a mobile love shack so you've got room to get some ass in a comfortable manner.

Next, get some magnetic signs with a catchy graphic and domain name made up and slap them on the sides of the van. Start parking the van in high visibility areas around town - lunch time traffic, rush hour traffic, major events, restaurants, malls, etc. Get to these places early enough to grab the prime spots (assuming no parking restrictions).

Now if you don't have the time to drive it around and park it, hire some high school kid to do it. That way the kid can have a ride, earn a few bucks and have a place to bang his girlfriend. Fuck, let him drive it to school and have him throw some signs on there to a domain promoting ringtone offers.

Also, maybe have some stickers made up and start sticking them on high traffic gas pumps and drive thrus. Maybe ask a bum if you can buy a spot on his sign for a couple bucks.

I dunno man, I've never heard of a mobile campaign that worked for anything other than The Ali G Movie, and that's only because it was a jacuzzi trailer with strippers that were holding up signs for it.
With the cost of fuel and insurance, it'd be a pretty expensive method to test without some stats to back it up.
Seriously though, if you can find some research on it, that'd be tops.

On further thought, I suppose you could use the van to bluespam the immediate vicinity. A LOT of people would have their bluetooth on so that their handsfree speakers work in their own cars.

Has anyone tried pushing Paid Surveys?

I might try it in a free daily, as I know ALOT of University/College students read the free papers while on the bus to school, in class, during breaks etc. And you know they are broke as hell. (I used to be one)

Anyone try this yet? For see any problems?

I honestly can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. Lol

Anyone else have any thoughts on pushing paid surveys?
I heard good things about paid surveys from richadfreak and there is a youtube video in this thread about a guy who advertised via classifieds and had success with a survey site.

Anyone knows where to buys those ads? I've looked up on google but there's many places... Anyone have tried any?

I'm not being sarcastic, but if you look at clickbank's 1 one "work at home" product, it's paidsurveyetc.

I have to test this out soon, I'm going to buy some classify ad at this big university campus and offer some paid surveys CPA.

Yea paidsurveysetc was definitely what I was going to promote. The landing page is looking pretty slick, and I know the college kids will like that calculator thing in the middle of the page, lol!. The stupid live chat thing is cheezy as hell tho...

Got some numbers from our daily free paper with 224,700 circulation.

1 inch by 1.5 inch ad for $80 for one issue. Color is included.

Does that sound alright?

They only print classifieds on weekdays, what day do you think is optimal??

My gut tells me Monday or Wednesday, but I dunno....

I've heard Tuesday is the best day to run an ad. Most people think it's Sunday, but think about it... that's when everyone and their brother buys the paper. I know when I didn't regularly get the paper, my wife and I would get it on Sunday for the ads and pretty much trash the rest after skimming it. Neither of us read the classifieds, that's for sure.

Point being... between having to fight through all the noise, and that the increased circulation doesn't necessarly equal increased readership, Sunday sucks.

Tuesday is good (and good for direct (snail) mail, too), because the people reading the paper then are more likely to go through the whole thing, and more likely to notice your ad.

Whay online marketing is important in 21st century?????

Online marketing is important in the 21st century onwards because almost everything around us everyday involves internet. We rely too much on internet. Customers opt to online buying because it's more convenient, it helps time-conservation, and less effort to carry out, aside from the fact that most of online market offers really great discounts to products or service it offers. Just to tell you, online marketing and advertising is growing rapidly and take in many forms. There is SEM or Search Engine Marketing (Advertising through paid listing for appearances in major internet search engines such as Google and Yahoo). Also, there is SEO or Search Engine Optimization, originally came from SEM but now being separated as distinctive process of business online strategy. It involves several process of link building. The main goal of such online marketing is to appear first among the competing companies in the search engine results page to earn "click throughs" that will be converted to money. Billions of people are browsing the internet everyday. That means, your business is exposed to billions of potential customers everyday if you only got the right strategy.
