No such thing as a free lunch?

...this stuff isn't the type of thing you want to be doing when you're struggling: it sounds great, but it's risky - you don't know the payoffs (average person doesn't seem to get much), you don't know if it's going to continue (it doesn't), you can easily waste your capital (ala your adwords experience), etc.

Go get a 'real' job for a while. Read a lot. If you have a moment of insight, pursue it. Until then, work and study hard and read more.

And if your family's so stuck for cash that it worries you enough to tell us about it, then give them any cash you have/earn rather than hoping to buy yourself a car.

Edit: Actually, saw something apparently on DP about paying people $$ to click on ads. Or enter captchas? ...doesn't appeal? Keep reading.

I had a bicycle all through high school. I hated it but it taught me to be thrifty. Plus I was healthy from riding everywhere. I had to borrow cars from family. Then I bought the car I wanted when I had the cash.

Huh?

OK, as you are just asking for advice....

Your landing page sucks.

You did not even put in the effort to find a decent picture.

You fail.

Wow, that page sucks. Clean up the spacing and appearance a bit and get a new photo that does't look like shit.

If you're still in highschool, find one of the guys that knows a little something about Photoshop and ImageReady, see if they're willing to do you any favours by doing a decent job on images, and making a site that's more of an image map than it is text.

Nearly everyone in the U.S. has speeds that technically qualify as broadband, so there's no reason to be conservative with a page. So long as it loads in under 3 seconds you're good.
