Stephen Whiltshire is an autistic savant known as the Human Camera for his ability to draw back cityscapes from memory. After just a short helicopter ride over sities such as Rome, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Madrid and others he will spend the next several days drawing the city in the most intricate detail on massive panels. His pictures are so accurate that the exact numbers of windows and columns are often present on notable landmarks.

He's been brought to the States by CBS and is currently drawing New York city...

I first learned about him when I saw him do Rome a few years ago.

You can see many of his other drawings on Youtube and he can also play the piano.

Wow, that's absolutely amazing. There's a guy that can do that kind of thing from memory here on campus, but he definitely can't do it to that scale by any means. But he made the sketch for our college website, and it's pretty freaking nifty.

I'm always amazed by the capabilities of people with Savant Syndrome.

That would be awesome to have a copy of his work.

I love this kinda stuff.... Here's another one. This guy can literally "see" math calculations in his mind. (not in anyway like a normal person)

Savants are mystical to watch. With many of them it is something that
happened in their lives that triggers their abilities, which leads me to
believe these triggers can be consciously triggered for ourselves. Our
brains are so much more powerful then what we are currently using
them for.

Here is a cool video, not a savant, but it's amazing.

I am unsure how to embed it here on the forum, so here is the link
