opt in opt out info???

Hey guys i just got a mail form a network asking me for the opt in opt out info of a certain mail for compliance reasons (according to them) and I´m wondering what does that mean.

it means they want the IP address, location, contact info and source url tied to the email address you mailed. Basically they want proof that this user actually opted in to receive emails from you and you didnt just steal it because they are dealing with a screamer.

you shouldn't even be emailing your mom from a yahoo address if you had to ask that question.
