Outsourcing questions...

Hey guys,

My team and I are developing a web tool to help small teams communicate and share files more effectively. Instead of using IM, email, and other project collaboration tools, we're trying to have all your communication and files in one place so that it's easily searchable for everyone on your team.

This is especially useful for outsourcing, as you can keep different projects organized and running smoothly.

Our app resembles Twitter but married with Google Docs, ideal for small teams sending short status updates and files to each other.

Hi guys, I've been outsourcing for many years to the Philippines, here are some tips of how to make it work:

1. Salary is usually around 15,000 pesos to 20,000 pesos which is $330 to $440 USD per month for basic staff, but for programmers and seo staff you are looking at double that
2. Yeah cheaper to hire directly you can find people on bestjobs.ph gopinoy.com craigslist, linked in. But actually finding good people is the hardest part so you really need to spend a lot of time and make sure you are testing them carefully. Also you can use odesk.
3. Pay people using ikobo or paypal or if you have a bank account there you can transfer the money directly but the wire transfer fees are higher.
4. Use software to track what they are doing and make sure they are really working, time doctor is good for that, and can use other stuff like basecamp as well

video above is not serious at all and suit maybe only idiots:)

$0.87 or whatever low even in india, plus that afghanistan dude in last second of video couldn't do any job except piercing you with his spire
 
A greater, cheaper way is to outsource a package at least every once a month. Outsourcing companies far more outweigh hiring individual workers. You just give them your keywords, the URLs, script (for videos), and they do it all for you! From powerful linkbuilding, to profile submissions, they even do article directories and create videos from the script you submit. You can even specify how you would want to split your casts (ex: 20% homepage, 80%subpage) and etc. Less Hassle for anyone.

If this is anything to do with programming or development, have someone who knows what they're doing check out your applicants. Be sure to get actual code too and have the person check the progress too to make sure you're not dealing with idiots. I've got some real horror stories.
