Parked Pages to Make Money?

Im not too sure if these are called parked pages or not but you have to excuse me as I am only getting into the game. I have seen a bunch of pages and 2-3 page sites such as winegallery.com (wf) that has a template with sponsored listings that are done oh so very well without the shitty 'ads from google' line. What is that? How do I get it. This must be my most noobish question till yet. But help.

Fact is that I have a bunch of domains I have no idea what to do with. Im thinking adsense for now as I do not want to sell them. I just am too tied up with writing that eats most of my time.
 
Do a google for MFA sites of "made for ad sence".

Might be handy to do some research before one starts spiting these out, be a bugger to get ye ad sence account shut down over a bunch of them with a manual review by g.
 
Parked pages will make you pennies per year IF you are fortunate. Slap some content on there, get it indexed, monetize with adsense, make more than any parked page would.
 
do these domains have traffic? even 10 hits per month could make you more with affiliate products/adsense rather than parking

sure with a parked page your click through would skyrocket, but I would advise against parking these domains if you plan to develop them.
the few domains I've parked have dropped rankings very quickly

in my opinion parking is advisable only for type in domains ( misspelled exact matches, know brands/sites, .com against popular .nets ( if any...) etc )
 
Parked domains have much higher CTR than ads on content sites. If someone has too many names-- generating type-in traffic and hardly has time to develop, only then domain parking makes sense. On the other hand, developing a website makes sense as it has potential to drive organic traffic and eventually grow to perform better.

In both cases, CPC depends on the niche segment the domain/site is categorized in and on geographic locations of the visitors. Most advertisers will bid low for parked domain ads, hence the lower CPC. I think most of the parking networks like Sedo, Afternic and NameDrive use Google DomainPark Ads and cut a % commission. So it'd be better if you sign-up directly IMO..

Yes, but most of them have domains that generate keyword traffic on their own.. There are clearly many advantages (as stated above) to building out a site rather than parking.. Unless of course you are way too busy making money elsewhere and then at least the domains are monetized in some way even if its not the best way.
 
I have a domain parked with AdSense for Domains and it makes me around $20-$30 a month. It gets around 50-100 hits a day.

20*12 * 5yr = $1200 - $50(domain renew fee) - $1150 profit from just owning the domain and parking it. good enough for me, dont have to do anything and its constantly been making this for the past 5 years.
 
Adsense for domains worked very well for me (on the one site I used it on). However, once you've parked it, the site stops ranking on its own - and continues to not rank after you remove the parking. [note: this was a typo domain and I wasn't developing it with content, so if you start developing and linking then your site could start ranking again].

  8. domain parking
 
I have a few crap domains I was thinking of trying to use adsense for domains on. You think I could make a few dollars a month like that?
