Pay Bump Retroactively on an Offer ?

Retro's might be possible in this situation, but will depend on the relationship with your AM and/or Network Policy and of course, how much quality traffic was actually sent. It's best to set this up with your AM before you run any traffic, so it can be pre-approved and conditions for the retro are agreed upon.

this response also shows how baller geofferson/advaliant are (very)

Actually, this is a typical arrangement in some cases. If you can reach a certain threshold, all your transactions will be bumped retroactively. But it's generally spelled out in advance.

Everything with any network is on a case by case basis I think. There's some standards for weeklies and wires. But this is more of an exception type thing. So if you want something it's always best just to ask. If you have a good reason you might get what you want. Other times you won't Remember all anyone can say is no. Nothing ventured nothing gained.:D

Same as Smax and Geofferson here at NB. We can make exceptions when the situation calls for it but best bet is to talk to your AM and explain why you think this is a good idea. Good way to set goals sometimes.
We've actually got a couple of offers that are set up like this based on lead volume. Send over 100 get a retro $0.20 increase, 500 $0.40, etc. Advertisers way to get more traffic.

I agree with the people that say it never hurts to ask and to also build a good relationship with your network and AM specifically. When you bring it up, provide a scenario that it would provide value to the network and to the advertiser.

I have had scenarios to provide affiliates with a retroactive payout bump in a particular month if they hit a certain amount of transactions/revenue, more as a reward.

Whether you get it will also depend on the advertiser for the offer. If the advertiser is not cool with it, then the network might be hard pressed to take lesser margin if they don't have a good reason to. However, if the advertiser is happy with your volume and quality, then you can use it as a way to grow.

And who says everyone's out to screw affiliates over? Hmm...

If you are doing enough traffic with the network, they will retro you. I do it all the time and if the difference is big enough, you can even threaten to switch offers to another network if they don't retro..

A good network takes care of you. I once dropped a new offer and got 4000 clicks and $0. I noted it to my AM, they pulled the offer (yanked the sucker), and credited me $1000. Now that's a partnership.

I personally find the only time to ask for a retro upgrade is if you normally get a larger paybump on all offers, and you happened to try an offer that rocked, but was on the cheaper payout, and you use it for leverage to your AM to do more. It's a simple game you play e.g. "Listen, I will hit this offer super hard if you can bump up the rate and take care of my initial tests".. usually they will.

Don't nickel and dime though. And follow through on your promise to your AM. Dont get a retro paybump and try another offer, reward your AM, and remember its a partnership.

What Roundabout said. Nothing is more annoying then someone that comes and spends negotiatiing your time for a bunch of payout adjustments. Then not send a single click. Bleh
