Paying for Static Content Writers

I have a decent budget to start making sites and I wanted to try starting to make niche sites through Jon's KISS method.

Would it be a good idea, or more like, does anyone have any feedback on whether or not services such as www.webmasterlabor.com provide good service? It is $620/month, so it is a pretty high sum, but if it provides good content (they say 180 hours of work), then I'd be all up for it. If they can provide possibly around a good quantity of articles consistently a month, wow!

they are a good service - 1 of their workers will write 2000 words a day - I have used them and like the service

Why aren't you still with them and are you in direct contact with the writer? how does it work? I'm interested, the site just seems a bit fishy, pages link to the same page still and I don't know...
