Payment types: Flat rate or %

Hey everybody - I've been reading this forum for quite some time and I've decided to stop being a n00b and join this thang. Anyways, I own sites and do affiliate marketing, but I'm about to jump in to the other side of things (opening up my own stores.)

What I really want to know is if you all prefer a flat rate for a lead or a % type thing (so if people order more, you get paid more.)

For instance, one of my stores is probably going to either have a flat rate lead of $75.00 - $100.00 for any order OR a % of sale. Keep in mind that the orders will range from $500.00 - $4000.00.

Flat fees are easier for roi calculating but % is usually more profitable. I do both

Most programs in the adult industry give you an option to take a flat rate per sale or a % of the recurring profit and I have found that taking a percentage always makes me more money. You do have to keep in mind what product/service you are promoting though, if you think a customer will only stay for 1 month then take the flat fee.
