where can i find pics that i can place in my polls without getting sued?
i can't find a big archive of pictures

does putting a celeb pics pose a risk of being sued?

Look for the pics that have the (CC) logo on the page. It means they're for creative commons use so long as you credit the original photographer... Said credit can be <!-- commented out --> in the HTML too, and it'll still be legal usage.

Celeb pics are only legally problematic if you're implying that the celebrity is endorsing the product, or that any text on the site is their words. You'll run into C&Ds or a straight out suit for that.
You may run into issues of the IP owner DMCAing you for the pic too.

The credit can not be commented out.
I just had to read up on it for work and the CC wants the credit (and link) to be displayed near the work used. So, no commenting out, no extra page.

Actually, the most used CC license is "attribution" and the legalese states that you must mention the author in the manner in which he wishes to be attributed.

But then, our website is much more prominent, so we gotta be careful.
