The pins are added to a single account, but those pins will be repinned from hundreds of different accounts randomly.

Answer to your question whether we are helping competitor's pins by repinning them : Well not really, if you plan to build a social presence, you need to interact with other members. It's important to keep the activities natural in order to safe guard your account. Repinning ( that's only once ) pins on your own niche is a normal thing and it's not going to really help anyone else other than you.
