Hello,
Looking to downsize my site portfolio and the turn has come to this site.
Basically what it does is index CrackDB, GameBurnWorld, GameCopyWorld GameFix and MegaGames and store it in a local DB. It's got some nifty rewriterules and other features to make it Google friendly, and that's also the reason I wrote it back in 2006 (to learn how to do it). A bonus is it's 100% legal (it doesn't even hotlink files).
It is truly automated in every sense of the word, I probably have not spent more than 30 minutes per year on it the last few years and still it averages about 500 unique/day. Back when I launched it I tested some link-in impact and it's really super easy to triple the visitors by creating a few links in the right places. Google likes the structure a lot.
Income is close to none - it's got Adsense and Adsense for search, but it's not been maintained for three or four years. It about covers the domain fee.
It would probably be easy to turn up the profit with a little promo work and keeping the system as-is, but the site would also IMO be ideal for driving traffic, as a botnet honeypot or similar.
Besides the obvious here are some additional functions:
* Automatic Referrer / link xchg system based on unique referrals. Scans Apache logs and gives a 2:1 linkback for referrers per default (easy to change). No signups or similar required.
* Static URL generation based on letters & last 100 searches. The latter is injectable with "fake" terms from a db table (another Adsense experiment).
* RSS/XML "api", just a simple request based generator for external integration.
* Simple outgoing link counter.
* English and Swedish native translations.
It runs in a LAMP env, and is designed to run on a standalone server/VPS. It can probably easily be modified to run in a web hosting env, but right now the cron jobs indexing relies on wget via shell_exec().
Requirements: Apache with Combined access log, PHP, Mysql, PHP-CLI for Crons (or remote call via GET), shell_exec(), httpd log file access, SMTP server (for current contact form).
Price: Give me an offer. I don't really *need* to sell it so I won't let it go for 50 bucks considering there are some hours of coding in it.
Stats: playfilez dt com/webalizer
Domain registered @: Dotster. Expires 2nd may -11.
Scripts: Developed by me.
Sales include: Domain, scripts, DB.
