Ads are shown to the location based on what a user says on their profile. So once in a while, you'll get a click from somewhere you weren't targeting (vacation, military etc).

What's the typical approval waiting time for a new campaign ?

Is there a way to speed up approval in certain circumstances ?
for example, today i've been "pre-approved" in a cpa company, i've promised my AM some traffic to test the quality of visitors i'm able to send.
 
Our ad approval team is in office between 9am-5pm PST and ads always get looked at before end of day. So this means if you made campaigns before 9am PST, you're in for a few hours wait. If you create ads late afternoon (~3pm), your approval time will be faster as there has been time to tackle the queue.

There's no way to speed up ad approval, we check everything!

i'm always down for continuing to test. but when do i start making some real money out of this? I mean i'm making profit from this, but not a lot. do people just make money from having a lot of different ads? different ads for the same offer?
^^i'm a total noob so be gentle, i'm about a month or so deep in experimenting with this

If you are profitable then increase your ad spend and target more demographics.
