Any time you're uploading graphics that are in the grey area or pushing boundaries, you shouldn't be surprised if one day, they're retroactively disapproved.

There are a number of people on the team approving and sometimes ads get through while other times they won't (fine line in a grey area). When these inconsistencies arise, we fix that by tightening up the rules in favor of more consistent decisions by our team.

it would be fucking awesome if i could log into the site right now...that too much to ask? can't you guys give out a schedule of your down times?

derp nvm....didn't know that the platform doesn't work wit the latest version of firefox. MY BAD HOMES

Yeah, but it doesn't show what the dynamic tag would actually insert. It's just a matter of double checking it before you publish ads. I saw some today that said "Meet {age} Women"

lols

A user has to be logged into POF.com in order for information to show. I assume everyone here has the help document, that explains in detail, how to use these tags. It's available for download on the log-in page of http://ads.pof.com

Or you could download it here https://ads.pof.com/assets/pdf/POF-HelpDoc.pdf
(info's near the end of the document). No Rickrolls, I promise :)

I just read all 27 pages of this thread to find this information. Thanks :)

Can you do {state:} as well? Instead of doing {state:default}.

Yup! Guys will do this when they run into character limit issues. The "default" really only kicks in when a user doesn't have that variable specified. But since, we only serve these ads to logged-in users, technically this should never happen. But it's good to have something there just in case (so your ad still makes sense).

It should never be "default" by the way. Maybe like {state:US} or something like that.

So youre telling me I may have been the dumbass who ran ads with {age} and {state}.... ~.~

CTR's were high anyway with that lmfao... glad I didnt do many.

HAHAHAHA possibly! Just saying I saw those and I was like, oh dude you can't be converting

+rep
As dumb as I seem, thank you for pointing that out....

I didnt know you needed the ':'

And actually it was only like -15% ROI.... CTR was way high... weird.
