Get the fuck out, if you were that good at poker you wouldn't need to coach people.

Feels like the fucking warrior forum up in hea'.

ok haters......

Here is my review of Falian's Coaching Session.

Some more info about me:
1) I started playing online poker but was never long-term profitable. I mainly play SNG's, but venture into micro cash games every now and then.
2) For 1 year I played exclusively in live cash games at the casino's in Detroit. I did very well and came out ahead in the long run.
3) I would say I am an intermediate poker player with a few hundred live cash games & a thousand or two online games.
4) I know about:
a. Position and Starting Hand Ranges.
b. Betting patterns (i.e. continuation betting)
c. Way Ahead/Behind and bet sizes.

We did a couple hours of Ghosting, and here is my honest opinion:

- Falian definitely knows his poker game. I consider myself an intermediate player and some subjects we touched on were above my head, but after conversing with Falian I was able to pick up on them. We discussed advanced topics such as implied odds and polarizing the range of hands you play. Falian introduced me to the concept of 3-betting, an area I knew completely nothing about, and he explained it in concise, simple details and used live hands as examples.

- I feel the biggest help was watching Falian play some multi-table tournaments to see how he plays. I picked up on a new strategy of "punishing" limpers who just call to get in on a hand by raising the big blind, even when holding garbage hands. This type of assertion is aggressive and works well and can be used to exploit weak players.

- His heads up game tips really helped a lot. I watched him play heads up and he walked me though his thought process of playing one-on-one. This area is my weak link and a lot of light bulbs went off in my head after listening to him. In fact, after we finished I fired up a heads up SNG and took in down within 10 minutes using ideas and tactics that Falian had just taught me. He also taught me how to leverage my position and how check-calling or check-raising can be used to my advantage.

- A big part of being a poker player is building a statistical database of your hands that you play. Falian introduced me to a couple tools, Poker Tracker & Poker Stove, that he uses to analyze his stats as well as his opponents' playing styles. To be honest, if you are an online player, you are at a serious disadvantage if you are not using the software, because their is a good change your opponent is and is getting an edge on you.

- Overall I walked away with a good impression. I feel that there is no reason someone couldn't become a profitable online player with Falian's coaching sessions as long as you put in the time to play a large volume of hands and really think and utilize his strategies. You can take your poker game to the next level by learning from Falian and $10/hr is a small price to pay, especially if you can earn more than that while playing online.

I am now re-opening this service this Friday.

I took a 3 week break from poker after burning out and i'm back at it again.

$15/hr, If you don't feel i'm worth the money, then don't pay me.

I wish you were good enough to help me with cash :) I do pretty well grinding SNG's but I enjoy cash a lot more and that's the route I want to go.

This is great stuff for any poker player to know, but not worth $10/hr. You can pick up everything he taught you for free reading the basic primers on twoplustwo.com, the largest poker forum out there. Wickedfire, but for poker.

And seriously - you call yourself an intermediate poker player and you didn't know about 3betting? I play 5-10 hours/week, take home $100 from a weekly cash game (.1/.2) and top3 2-4 10-30 person tournaments each month and consider myself a beginner.

$15/hr, If you don't feel i'm worth the money, then don't pay me.
I think it's great that you're offering to coach people, but I'm a little confused about what your skills are.

You had a return of 275%, so you almost tripled your starting $1000? Over the summer? That's a lot of play (especially if you're suffering 'poker burnout') for that small of a return over that long of a time period. What were you playing?

If you aren't winning or haven't seen a significant improvement in your game then I will give you a 100% refund.

If I'm losing, does your refund include the money I've lost?

$10/hr is nothing for a poker coach. Yes, you can learn a lot of the basics by reading, but training videos and especially 1:1 coaching are much more efficient.

I agree with this though. However, as long as he knows more than his students and can teach well it doesnt really matter what level he classifies himself as.

I think these results are pretty decent for someone starting out online.

Yah, he should definately do this. As long as you get his coaching for at least 5 hrs(enough to make a difference probably) and play at least 100k hands (a decent sample)

Sorry to hijack a bit Falian, but I was serious about my offer also. If anyone is making $5k+/mo with affiliate marketing and wants to learn more about advanced poker play online let me know. I am a pretty rank beginner having just started my first PPC campaign, although I have read up a fair bit. If you are looking to play microstakes or don't understand the basics/beginning intermediates of preflop/postflop play I would go with Falian first.
I can post screenshots of winnings etc if you would like more info.

When I played online poker i loved tourneys cuz they were easy.. but my problem is I cant just make $5 or $50 a day playing poker. I want to make $100+/hr. This isn't a problem, the problem is that after I make that $100, I want MORE MORE MORE. I have a HIGHLY addictive personality when it comes to shit like that and i'll ignore my girlfriend and play all day for hours... But I have to factor the swings in. AA getting cracked by JJ? Queens busted by AJ all in preflop, etc. Then, my emotions kick in and I lose most of it back cuz I just can't handle it and get mad/impatient. Im not gonna lie though, I love cards, I just had a problem and had to stop.

If I had the patience i'd be playing poker 4 hours a day. And that fellas is a HUGE part of poker, the self discipline. If you can control yourself you can BANK playin poker cuz there are just soo many fishies.
