@vipervin - Please try it again now. Logout, clear your cache, log back in. Should be working fine (since we just disabled .ORG checking).

@sapphirescales - We are raising the price, it was just raised to $17 / mo. Once v3 is released, it'll be going up more. However, we are going to be extra careful on future releases as we are very irritated with some of the issues we are having. I can assure you that we have a LOT of people using our tool so it's working fine for the majority, but we feel awful that WickedFire users are the minority having problems. We are ON THIS UNTIL ITS FIXED!

I apologize for all the issues everyone is having.

All Users Do This: Logout. Clear your cache. Log back in and refresh the page and then see if it's working. It should be working flawlessly now that we have disabled .org checking. If you are still having issues, please PM/EMAIL/IM me.

I just logged in to find that .org checking was disabled which is quite a bummer as there are some nice .org names out there. Please bring it back soon.

Also, would appreciate an email when these kind of major changes/bugs happen. Understand that from time to time things break and takes time to fix, but timely notifications would be much appreciated.

@aundra - We had to disable .ORG checking in the meantime until we get the new method of .ORG checking stable before launching. It'll be soon!

Also, we are still waiting on aWeber to approve our list so we have everyones emails sitting there but are waiting for approval from aweber before we can send, otherwise I would have sent out emails to everyone. I am very sorry for the inconvenience and that the email system is not working until aweber approves it, I understand what you're saying and all I can say is that I am sorry. As soon as that is approved, you'll see emails about these issues in the future and other things like upcoming releases, etc...

Pleased to announce that the tool is working flawlessly and has been since we disabled .ORG checking. We are working on an alternative method as we know .ORG is a popular tld and will get that working again. Tool works great, just no .ORG at the moment. Thanks for everyones feedback, patience, and help!

@emp - Price went up to $17 / mo with the release of v2. I have PM'd a moderator asking for the thread to be changed but am still waiting for that to happen.

Was using this today and just got a message that I reached my monthly limit on searches whats that about?
Come on is there a limit if so thats a real kick in the ass teaser if this is right this blowssss way way too much. Its still early in the month and I only have used this a few times every other day or so. So you mean I have to cherry pick my searches shit no. Now I now why you only limit to a 50 count search return and havent added more.
So if this has a monthly limit I guess will be going back to doing it the long but thorough way and cancel my subscription like yesterday wow this was the biggest tease ever. If not and some mistake sorry for all the crying and grunting.

Had this too. Log out then back in. Sorted it for me.

Please pm if you decide to go back to the v1.0 price till you get the .org v2 back online. Too many threads to keep up with at the moment.

Thanks

@alc - That should be removed (the warning), we have the system set to limit the # of searches users can perform, however we do not have a limit set. It was set to 50 searches by accident, suppose to be 500 (no one is even close to that limit and we'll raise it if someone gets there). Just logout, clear cache, log back in. Should be working flawlessly!

@maffs - Yes, all fixed! We even had it appear for admins! Just a few loose ends that are now tidied up.

@uptime - We will never be going back to that pricing of $10 / mo. The tool is amazing even with .ORG disabled for the meantime. We are working on re-enabling the .ORG service, we are integrating with a new provider to handle the lookups so it doesn't slow down the tool or cause problems like the last .ORG lookup service!

Thanks everyone!

UPDATE: The tool is working flawlessly. Unfortunately the last 10 or 15 posts to this thread have been "complaints" or rather "support requests" but I promise that it's a small minority that had issues and those issues are fixed. The tool runs like a champ and I encourage anyone on the fence to signup and give it a go!

Lol at people bitching about the price rise. Seriously it's an extra $7/month. If you can't find a decent domain that is worth $20 within the first hour of using this tool, you're doing it wrong.

OP please please please please remove the 50 domain/per search limit.

If it's an issue of API calls costing to much, PM me and see if we can't work out something.

Spoke too soon!

"Our server is currently down for maintenance. Please check back soon."

@vipervin - Unfortunately, yes. The tool itself was working flawlessly but there was an issue with the load on the database server.

This issue was resolved but due to the load we had to migrate to faster servers. We are now on cloud hosting that is fully scalable so that we never encounter these issues again.

Again, I appreciate everyones cooperation and patience. I am not one to lie or hide things, so I think it's clear we experienced some growing pains over the past few days.

This is not a reflection of our tools or service. If anyone has any questions, concerns, or problems, please contact me via IM, EMAIL, or PM. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and know that you guys support us, even if we mess up like we have the past couple days.

Thanks so much, you guys are fantastic to work with and we appreciate the support and loyalty, as well as patience we are receiving in return!

Not able to login got first a while ago some server error now getting a blank page.

About the 50 return limit or you mention I think that there is no limit set there is something wrong about that. I think that this might be due to not having a big enough KW return list so thats why we are not getting more than 50.

I say this because I did a manual test with my market samurai got a KW list of about 600 and fed it to a domain checker and got back about 200 .coms available.

Final UPDATE: Hey everyone! Thank you for your amazing patience and support during these past few days. We finally have everything worked out (hopefully not speaking too soon! :)). We are deeply sorry about the downtime over the past day and for the .ORG checking and for the tool stalling (due to .ORG checking failing). .ORG checking is still disabled, but we are currently building in the new method of doing .ORG checking (should be faster than before too). As for the downtime, we have migrated to a top-tier cloud hosting platform so that we can scale as we need to with growth and usage, and also provide a better user-experience for PositionSniper customers.

We are deeply sorry for the complications. However, it's to be expected and normal with any new venture and especially so with something 100% web-based. With that being said, we take are customer satisfaction and support very seriously. If you are unhappy for any reason, please contact me direct and I will be more than happy to deal with whatever issue you are having, I promise.

For the good part... we are adding in CPC data, ability to export, get more than 50 results per run, and also some competitive analysis features like AllinTitle, and others. Please stay tuned for that.

On another side note, please confirm the aweber email that was sent. We have added all paying members to our aweber list and will send out support, maintenance, feature announcements, release updates, and cool bonuses to our customers through that list.

Thanks again and Happy Sniping!

David

Great service for the price point.

I am overdue to write a review on this, but:

  • Position Sniper is really inexpensive.
  • The value:cost ratio is awesome for the end user.
  • David is accessible & easy to talk to.
  • He listens to your recommendations and opinions.

What I was most happy to see in today's iteration vs. what I signed up for a few weeks ago is that the results are now parseable by search volume, .com/.net/.org availability.

The advanced search options are phenomenal; especially if you are looking for low volume but geospecific high dollar niches and keywords.

Plain and simple, this tool is awesome for it's pricepoint.

I would pay more money, however, if we could distill SERPs to more granular geospecificity... e.g. not only country alone, but also state/ city.

But that's me, and I do stuff in the local lead gen and local SEO industries, so ymmv.

Great tool David.
