If you post from a public place such as a library, can your ip still get banned? How many posts does Craigslist allow per hour/day until they will ban? I have craygo, but some people have recommended not using it. In craygo there is a place to put in a proxy, but it doesn't let you test to see if it's working or not and I think it's hard to find a free good working anonymous ip isn't it?

I don't want to ban the IP address of a public place then nobody would be able to post on craigslist.

Can anybody advise on using a proxy? I'm not real technical, I have ToR, but somebody mentioned how most of their proxies are international and craigslist will delete those posts right away. So what do I do, just search for a free anonymous proxy and just put it into craygo and just post? There's no way to test the proxy, but I guess if the posts don't go through then it's trying to use the proxy and then there could be something wrong with the proxy, but atleast it's trying to use the proxy, so just find another proxy and repeat?

I dunno im sure you can download a list somewhere but th proxies may not work

You're pretty much on your own if you want to get into this

For the most part Craigslist is dead. I would recommend moving on to something else.

If you want to test a proxy, just put it into firefox and see if it works. If you want to test multiple proxies, download the software at proxychecker.net

Get a dial-up account and use that. Each connection should result in a different IP address being assigned. Be sure to delete your cookies and so forth between posts. Tor won't get your very far with all the overseas addresses.

If you know .Net, you could just write something to do that for you using the webclient or httprequest class, and just delete the cookiecontainer of your app between posts and making each dial-up connection. I'm guessing you could work something up in other languages as well, but I'm a .Net guy.

I've had issues with CL with posts seeming to have gone through, and be accessible via your account, but not showing up in the ads - not sure how much truth there is to it, but according to some posts in their forums their spam filter is the culprit - to help defeat some of the spammers it lets them look like they've gone through. Could just be a suck update or something too.
