I have been running my ppc campaign and it was/is my first successful campaign where I finaly went positive...

my CR was 12% and now it dropped to 8% - 9%

What is a possible cause of this?

Should I change my ad copy? Keywords?

I really want to stay positive or break even at the least.

Thanks

I'm using 7search

I'm basically asking if I need to keep changing my ad copy throughout the campaign or leave it alone the whole time...

Sounds like you're relatively new. With that said I'm guessing the campaign was actually not that big. Therefore didn't have a lot of data.

There's this thing called statistical relevance which means there's a spread of 100% possible and realistic possibilities. With little data say 12 leads in a 100 clicks and the next time you get 8 leads in 100 clicks. Both of those are totally within the realm of possibility.

Ever play blackjack? Ever had a winning streak? How about a losing streak? Typically you need quite a bit of data to call a conclusion to something.

Here's a calculator to tell you what kind of data you'd need to call a 95-99% certain conclusion.

You always wanna optimize and make your campaign better then it already is. Leaving it alone would mean your happy with the stats your getting, when in reality you could be doing even better.

Never even thought of applying it to AM good tip.

and was your offer by chance a submit or lead gen offer? Are you still on the offer now? If you're running poor quality traffic sources into your page (ahem...) that could be you getting shaved off the offer due to poor quality - such as Indian clickfraud rings know how to add email addys or zip codes but small-timers gaming 7search advertisers aren't also going to break out stolen credit cards to fill out some backend offers.
