brar
I used to support PPC-Coach but I cant in good conscience anymore. It just seems like they stopped caring much about the site. The whole point of the program is that their supposed to give people step by step directions to run a campaign. Beyond the first month the directions look like this (Made this up but just an example):
Month 6 - Credit Reports
We are going to run credit reports. Its a huge market. Use Google and here are some keywords:
Credit reports
creditreports360
bad credit
Now discuss...
Then there are a few posts with people asking questions and thats it. Wickedfire is 1000 times more lively then PPC-Coach.
Hi, I'm new. What the fuck is up WF? Sorry for the long ass post, BUT....
I'm glad to see this post, as I've been somewhat frustrated with my ppc-coach membership. I agree completely that the site seems to be falling off quite a bit. Maybe they have a big update planned (they did just launch a redesign of the site and a help desk, and coach has been promising a new month 1 for some time), but I've been busting my sack, and it's been really tough for me to get clear information from the site. Even the equivilant of "hey fuckface, your question doesn't make any sense" would be great under the right circumstances, but even that can be tough to extract at times. I keep hearing that you'll get flamed to shit posting noob questions to WF, but today one of my new AMs told me that I should really check out the newbie forum here...so I figured I'd come back for another look, and found this thread.
One of the major problems on ppcc is the conflicting information you'll get:
"Polls still work" "no they dont" "yes they do" "well they do, but single field submits are pretty much dead" "polls still work anyway" "but its really really hard to make it work" "polls and zip/email submits are the easiest things to do, thats why we start with them, so make it work"
"you have to be able to profit with polls before you can profit on stuff like review sites, you'll never convert a higher payout offer if you cant convert simple polls" "I skipped month 1 and made very decent bank off month 2 (review sites)" etc etc etc
That shit is fucking frustrating, for real. Then I go and launch campaigns and end up losing more $ than I feel like I should in testing anyway. I've lost a bunch of money sending many clicks to 7-10 rotating offers on ppc-coach's own network (which is highly touted on the boards) - not 1 conversion from any of them. Really? C'mon.
In addition, I'm busting my ass generating auto-content blogs to try and dodge g-slaps for a poll that's for a $1.25 payout CPA....
It really does feel like they've just gotten sick of answering the same questions over and over again - which I get, but that's what your site says it does. A post went up where many users asked for better organization of the info on the boards, only to be met with terse replies from coach about how they need to ask questions and that nobody is going to spoon-feed them. Several (myself included) tried to clarify that we just wanted better organized info so we could help ourselves better and ask more intelligent questions, and he was not having it.
A lot of times it feels like when you ask questions there's an attitude of "you're not trying hard enough or you wouldn't have to ask this question" - which I understand in some circumstances, but again - this is what your site (purportedly) does. C'mon.
However, to be fair, there are some very friendly/helpful members of the boards over there, Harry1970, newageads, and proneone have all been very helpful to me, and I did learn a lot of basic stuff (working with trackers, rotation techniques, light keyword research etc) in my first month or so there....which is great, don't get me wrong. But I'm almost at my third month, and I'm still deep in the red on every campaign I start....and I would like to see at least a LITTLE bit of return on my investment.
The thing about ppc-coach is that it's just really hard to tell what's up and form an opinion on it one way or the other. I know I've made it seem really shitty here, but there are good things about it, some of the tools are alright, and there is a decent and friendly community, for the most part. However, none of that has helped me turn a profit on a campaign - not even a cent. So it begs the question: Does PPC-Coach suck? Or am I just borderline retarded?
Who can say?
I'm gonna stay on for another month or two, and if shit doesn't turn around, I'm probably gonna kick - that's $50 a month I could be putting into testing...
