Something is definitely wrong here. Unless you verify this new PR8 site as I requested you to do, I would not pay a cent.

I am very skeptical especially since the company that is listed as the owner of the PR 8 site is a Nasdaq listed company and I hardly think that they would be selling text links for $150.

PM sent.

Price is now put up to $150. ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT.

1) fresh wickedfire account - check
2) fresh paypal account - check
3) pr8 site that which he "supposedly" bought (the domain costs hundreds of thousands) - check
4) you can sell textlinks or ads for hundreds/thousands per month on such a domain, but he is selling it for a to good to be true price - check

99% sure its a scam or its some exploit where he places the link on the site.

Please be aware I have only verified the original site that OP was selling. ALL addon sites are UNVERIFIED!

It turns out that TimBaker has been trying to sell links on sites that he clearly doesn't own. I wouldn't trust him. I've filed a Paypal dispute and I hope you guys do the same.

The more people we have doing this, the better chance we have of getting our money back.

I am not sure what members ever said that they want monthly only, but if there is a demand then certainly someone should supply it. No one is stopping them from selling Monthly vs permanent, but none of that stops the scamming. My personal decision is to not buy from someone who has not been here for a LONG time.

If you want to stop the scamming what I would do is make all sellers pay to post UNTIL they are here XX months, and have XXX posts, XX iTraders. Then they are free. Keeps the old and proven resources on the members from leaving or penalizing them and stops the con artists from working the board. There are many variations on this that could be worked, but at the end of the day I am not sure it is the moderators job to protect us from ourselves. All you have to do is spend a day reading through the blogroll posts to see there is a 99% chance of getting ripped off if you are buying from a new member, YET it happens day after day, and often to the same people that have been ripped off before.

This is turning into a serial drama that gets repeated again and again. The scammer is basically just taking advantage of the situation as people are continuing to support new blogroll providers.

I know this make sounds unfair for new real legit blogroll providers but that is life and you came in at the wrong time to provide such services. Unless the buyer stop all purchases from new blogroll service providers, there is no end to this. You can have senior members prove that the provider own the site or whatsoever but at the end of the day, 90% of them are still scammers period.

There are a few big blogroll providers in BST which are legit and I recommend buyers to turn to them. Look for tecentpiece, enderz, seogal and of course myself. I believe we are more than enough to cover the demand of blogrolls in WF. I don't care if you take it that I am promoting my own service (which I am indirectly) but if you guys want to continue getting scammed, so be it.
