I'm starting an article/blogging website and want to sell advertising space for banner ads. At this time, we don't intend to use any ad networks, and advertisers can not set their own price. So what is a good pricing model for starting out? I'm looking for pricing for both PPC and CPM. Any recommendations or articles on this? Thanks.

u getting 1 million or more impressions a month?

prob best bet if you arent is to use adsense... unless you want like 100 dollars a month

pricing is relative... if your site is about selling private jets charge 100 cpm... if your site is about downloading free shit... charge .05

but to answer ur question charge eleventy dollars

Too many factors involved to "guesstimate." You really need some targeted traffic to a specific niche or demo before you can determine any sort of value.

I once asked my wife, if I eat myself will I become twice as large or disappear completely?

She replied, neither, you can only eat half yourself so you will remain the same size.

I understand that there are several factors to consider such as ad size, placement, traffic, etc. That's why I'm asking for a suggested minimum price for both PPC and CPM ads, just for starting out. Thanks.
