Yeah, lame title. I know. But anyways, back about a month or so ago, I added a large forum to my site. I then decided that a forum wouldn't be a very good idea and I took it off. The problem? Google indexed all these forum pages and they're now affecting my rankings! One of my most predominant keywords (according to Google Webmaster tools) is "gang" because that word was used extensively throughout the forum (it was part of the title). The problem is, gang has NOTHING to do with my website and it's now one of my main keywords! Most of my main keywords have to do with the forum now that had nothing to do with my actual website. My question is, is there anything I can do to remove those pages from Google's index or do I just have to wait it out? Oh, and I forgot to mention that now I'm getting tons of crawl errors since the forum is gone now. This is just one big mess and I'd like to take an active role in cleaning it up rather just wait for it to clean itself up.
