Proximity Marketing

2 Questions:

1. Anyone running any traffic for a Bluetooth or Wifi Proximity Marketing company currently or in the recent past?

2. Does anyone believe that Proximity Marketing will turn into a $12B industry by 2014 like all the white papers floating around everywhere?

Have some biz partners that are interested in getting involved to either drive traffic, sell the routers/software, or combination of both.

I love the idea but if people start pulling back their privacy could kill it or severely limit its potential

Does anyone in here do anything with mobile? I searched airpush and admob and came up with pretty much no posts about either. The #1 and #2 mobile ad networks and no one on WF has any dealings with them???

I used to send a lot of traffic through Admob and was also surprised that it was so hard to find people on here who were also using it. Even had one guy say "stop outing traffic sources" as if Admob is supposed to still be relatively unknown.

I stopped running with Admob when I realized how shitty they really are. There are tons of better networks and ways to run mobile.

Agree Admob couldn't get to make decent margins. Played with Airpush and wanted to see if anyone else had opinions.
