Pulse 360 - Inventory (Yahoo Related)

I'd just like to say out of all the display ad networks I've used recently (adblade, socialmedia, cubics, pulse, myspace, facebook, adsonar) pulse360 has by far the worst, dysfunctional, almost hilariously bad interface (at least 10x as bad as anyone else).

I was working with a rep, and I spent a couple thousand in total but wasn't able to make it profitable for myself. I'm not asking for any help, I just want to point how bad the interface is. When I told my rep about a bug with creating ads he essentially told me I'm not even going to report this, just work with me on your listings and don't use the interface.

Joe is a good guy. Don't give him shit. /shakes fist

Unfortunately I have some other rep now and its not working out so hot.

Man you guys aren't being very professional. If you have a problem with Pulse360, this is probably the best chance you have to get it fixed. Joe is the only rep from any large advertising network that is actually posting here and supporting us, which is saying quite a bit. Do you see MySpace ads reps here? AdWords? There's one or two facebook reps, but they never post.

+rep to Joe for coming here to voice his support of us. Pulse360's system may not be the best but at least they realize that this forum spends a whole lot of money with them and it's worth coming here and listening to us. If you guys were a bit more polite to him you might find he is more receptive.

that's great he's a good guy. it should be obvious my remarks are directed toward the company and not him. any representative of a company should realize that. last time i checked this wasn't a daycare where we needed to be so worried about people's feelings being hurt.

we have a new interface coming out that will put an end to a lot of this. I don't have a time frame yet but i can assure you it will put to rest all these issues with the interface.

Until than though please lean on our support team to help out. they are here and ready to do whatever they can to make your lives easier

You also currently have a serious problem with click fraud and allowing the copy/paste crowd that can't market to dominate your listings. Why would I want to run $20k a day when you'll allow ANYONE to steal my campaign verbatim and compete against me with it?

Read this: Facebook Click Fraud 101

The click fraud is probably coming from the advertisers.
this is most likely the problem, imo. i personally didn't have an issue w/ the interface. it's a little tedious to create ads, but that's hardly even an issue compared to the traffic quality.

of course the network will think everything is great when clicks are flowing on their end while one or two advertisers (same person?) run a bot which clicks every ad except theirs. can hardly blame them for telling everyone the traffic is awesome when they're seeing so many clicks, but it's a different story for the legitimate advertisers who are seeing terrible CTRs on the landing page itself.

again guys we spot check, do quality control and police our network the best we can. we have multiple fraud filters in place and you might be getting alot of clicks to your site that are not even being charged to you.

that all being said though if/when you are seeing issues please reach out to us. We cant help if we don't know your having issues.

I dropped close to $3,000 on them. Honestly, I don't trust them. I was working with a rep and had a campaign doing ok for a couple days. After placing the conversion pixel my rep gave me, competition and bids jumped up sky high. I have a feeling my rep told others what was working for me.

the demo stuff is dead and should not be in there. we are redesigning the interface and it will be out in the next launch.

CPA is a separate product we are building and will have its own interface soon.

are you working with a rep here?

Hey Joe,

So when I have US only demo selected, is that working or are ads being displayed regardless of location?

Agreed, the interface isn't perfect, but let's hope it will be fixed in the new release. In terms of customer service, Joe and Stephanie have been exceptional. I've had numerous conversations with them after work hours or on weekends. However, if you don't already have a successful campaign(s) running on Pulse, good luck... Unless you come up with something as effective as "Obey". And then everyone will just copy that ;)

I have heard more people complain about pulse360 click fraud issues than those concerning any other source including facebook.

Just an FYI, that bad press is definitely hurting you guys. When you are a performance marketer experienced in display advertising and running traffic on many sources, and you know your demos and typical landing page ctr, its pretty easy to notice when something is very screwed up. When you then review your logs and see lots of weird traffic (no referrers, non redirect following, muliple clicks per ip, and a bunch of other indicators i'm not going into), its becomes obvious something is wrong.

I haven't done much with you guys, but i do trust people I have good relationships with and this has been stated several times by many of them. So if there is a problem, fix it, and then get out some good PR so next time people test, the results are better.

Joe, I,ve pmd you recently but no response yet :( After all this it'd be scary as shit for me to start any campaigns on Pulse on my own, honestly.
