if you're getting more than 10 movies to a disc, then the codec used is going to suck balls.
Sounds like they were compressed for use on an iPhone or something.
I'm with the guy that says he has backups he'll never even look at again. I remember my first hard drive held 5MB. I never thought I'd fill it up. Now I fill 150 GB backup with no effort.
If there was only a way to easily catalog all that stored info.
The point of backup isn't to look at it again.
It's so that you've got it there in case your primary storage method fucks up in a major major fashion.
Jesus, if you want to keep it all, get a multiple HDD mount that does cascading storage and allows you to simply replace drives with higher capacity units as you run out of space on it. I recommend a Drobo for just that, if you happen to have eSATA (which any modern computer should)
